I have no strong desire to visit, but I wouldn't mind if the opportunity came. I know someone from Perth on Discord, and it's come with a bit more interest in the area. Although I hear it's meant to be a pretty boring city? Also maybe Melbourne simply because King Gizzard is from there.

My passport is expired, my travelin' days are more or less done.

Even when I was willing and interested in traveling, Australia was never really of interest. At most, I might have thought it was neat to go to New Zealand and do the LotR tourism thing, but even that was never really a huge deal for me.

I've travelled up the east coast and really enjoyed that. I've lived in Brisbane (QLD) as well as Port Hedland (WA) about 5 years ago. It's quite possible I'll end up living in Queensland again at some point.

I went years ago and would love to go back. Spent several days in Melbourne and it was kinda meh. Sydney on the other hand is awesome and wish I had a chance to explore more of it. Would love to check out Alice Springs (not listed) and Brisbane.

I was there during the winter and Tasmania got snow which was a big deal for them. They measured it in cm so it could have just been a light dusting, lol.

While I love my country and think there's a lot of great things to see and do, it's simply too isolated for most tourists when there's so many other experiences you could have closer to home lol Plane prices and long haul flights are just so unappealing and we're not a cheap country.

Not only do the animals in Australia want to kill you, the plants do too.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/e/e6d1222b.jpg
Dendrocnide moroides, also known as the stinging tree or gympie-gympie. It's a member of the family Urticaceae, the nettle family.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/9/9d705555.jpg

Even casual contact with D. moroides produces an excruciating sting that can leave a victim in agony for years. Like the stinging nettle, the entire plant is covered with tiny, hollow hairs called trichomes. These act like a hypodermic needle, injecting a nasty chemical cocktail that includes a peptide similar to the toxin found in cone snails. The trichomes are constantly being shed, so just being near a plant can result in the hairs being inhaled. There is no antidote.

Just watch out for the Irukandji jellyfish. It's one of the smallest and most venomous jellyfish in the world.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/4/4ba52d96.jpg

The sting itself is only moderate, but about 30 minutes later you will experience excruciating muscle cramps, a burning sensation in your skin, vomiting, and an increase in heart rate and blood pressure. Death can result from brain hemorrhage. Irukandji jellyfish stings send 50 to 100 people to the hospital every year.

I've been to Sydney and it was really nice. Toured the Opera house. Went whale watching :) and lost my cap in the pacific :_( Went to Bondi beach.
Went to several museums and zoos as well. It was a good trip.

Sydney is very close to an American city. Honestly, if you had just dropped me into that city and didn't tell me where I was and they didn't have accents or drive on the left side I would think I was in America.
