Best of the prequels by far. Unfortunately, that's a rather low bar. It still has a lot of problems.

Beautiful movie. I love when Ratio Tile still believes his friend hasn't fallen to The West, to Reaching the West of Reaches, that he still is The Peaceful is Willing, and foresees the prophecy with "Disabled person must solve" as he attacks the friend whom he confesses he loved.

I love the movie, but again it still has some problems. I also made a fan edit of this, and out of the three prequels, it's the one that needed the least amount of changes.

I thought this was one of the weaker aspects. He goes from complaining that Palpatine needs to stand trial to literally murdering children over the course of about 5 minutes of screen time. It's like, they took 3 movies getting him 60% of the way there, and then just went 60-100 in that last 5 minutes.

Yeah. Its my favorite star wars movie, although none of them rank among my all time favorite movies.

No. This movie is hot garbage.

Its not very realistic.

It's the best trilogy movie but still no. The positives I can give it are that it has a little more energy to its plot than the previous two movies, which are utter sleepwalks. I also believe that Palpatine in this movie is maybe the only genuine interesting character in... Any of these three films? Period? He's a lot better than mute Darth Maul and Christopher Lee who clearly doesn't care about his character and doesn't want to be there.

Negatives still outweigh that though.There's still way too many long stretches of badly written back and forths and the dialogue is just as bad as it was in the last movie, and the action scenes are still seemingly endless bouts of watching people run around in video game levels.

It also reached the critical mass point of the offscreen events you're expected to just accept if you haven't seen the Clone Wars show being totally insane. Anakin and Obi-Wan felt ill-defined as hell in the second movie, but I don't feel like these are two characters I have been watching all the way through a trilogy because 90% of their character development felt like it happened offscreen. The biggest victim of it is Anakin, which is like... Really bad, because his stuff is obviously supposed to be the centerpiece of these films.

This describes my feelings pretty well. There was just no compelling reason for his character arc.

Now that Ive seen The Clone Wars, I understand Anakin so much better. And even in cartoon form, he and Padme have no chemistry. Its actually quite a phenomenon.

it's the best of the Prequel trilogy, but that doesn't means it's good.

Everything happens way too suddenly. Like Anakin goes from "I hate sand" to "I WILL MURDER YOUR CHILDREN" it's like, well that escalated quickly

Fuck, episode 3 may as well have been titled "Star Wars Episode III: Well That Escalated Quickly"

and i am really, really easily entertained. most of my favorite movies are below lowest common denominator shit

I actually enjoyed 3 a lot more in my 20's than at 12. The first time, I was bored out of my mind and couldn't even pay enough attention to tell you what happened, beyond a really rough summary.

But rewatching it a decade and some change later, I found it a lot better.
