I played this back on the PSP and didnt like it. It was very unbalanced, heavily reliant on buffs, and various other issues. The remake fixes ALL of that plus adds a lot of other cool things, like good voice acting. But one thing i didnt remember, is how dense the game is. There is SO much to do in the game. Especially in chapter 4, where it pretty much becomes sidequest heaven. But there are so many ways to mess them up and miss out on really cool units. A lot of them require replays, and the true ending requires 3 go-arounds. I love this game. It is the FFT inspiration, yet the remake kind of surpasses it in all but cool story moments and fun classes (a lot of the classes are kind of boring and dont get interesting skills until much later). Not to say that the story is bad. It has a ton of cool characters, and the morality system is one of the better Ive seen. Choices arent just do heroic thing and steal from a baby. Its stuff like Set fire to a village because the people dont want to stand up and end the war, but if we kill them, it will definitely set off a chain of events, causing our enemies to be blamed, and formour own people to rise up and help us end the war, and save the village, but just know we will blame you and set it ablaze anyway, just so you can keep your naive hands clean. Its pretty tough to choose things, and the consequences of them have major impacts on the story and who you recruit, what story paths you take, the fate of characters, and the ending. I played the PSP version ~4 years ago (around the start of the lockdowns) and I honestly don't remember much of it at this point, other then the fact that I was a little disappointed that there were really only one or two meaningful choices throughout the game (I set my expectations a little too high after the first choice you get to make) and that I found the last part of the game to be an absolute slog (I want to say there were at least 10+ battles in a row climbing through the dungeon/forest/whatever it was) and a bit of a letdown story-wise compared to the rest of it. Overall, I still liked it (and loved some of the music), so I plan to either replay it or get the new remake at some point, but I think I still prefer FFT. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Right, the Hanging Gardens. Those are the battles in the final gauntlet. It is exhausting, but those battles also have some of the best maps in the game, so at least they were fun. But yeah, they seriously should have cut that down to three battles. As for the choices, i dont think anymof them are as dark as the first one, but they do matter. Some of them dealing with an important party member, and depending on how you answer, it will change their alliance, and lock you into an ending path. --- ORAS secret base: http://imgur.com/V9nAVrd 3DS friend code: 0173-1465-1236 ... I wish I liked the game more than I did. I love SRPGs, so I went into TO with high hopes, but it just never clicked for me. I'm not 100% sure why, but I think that a lot of it came down to the level curve. I felt sort of pressured to grind a decent bit by the time I got to the later points in the game, and I just didn't have it in me, so I dropped the game near the end. --- https://www.youtube.com/user/dotsdfe I make Fire Emblem videos. Great game. So much to do. I had nothing left in the bank after my first finish and some palace of the dead --- http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ll36rxs0DB1qhmn4do1_400.gif http://img4.joyreactor.com/pics/post/gif-cats-kitten-box-366664.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!
