When did we started hating him?

I like almost everything he does acting wise.

not sure why he started getting hate. Were people assuming he was far right or so? Even though Im sure hes not

he was in this movie awhile before Parks and Rec where he was teleported into a porno world. It was really funny to me

His church has some problematic stuff going on iirc. He kinda got tied to that.

For my part, I just think hes one of those guys like Wahlberg where he sounds the same and plays largely the same character in every movie.

His 2024 election essay alone categorically disqualifies him from being considered anywhere near "cool."

I think he is a rare anti-Trump conservative. I think he has been seen agreeing with his father-in-law (Arnold Schwarzenegger) about Trump in the past.

I thought he praised the Church (hillsong) for being pro-LGBT, Elliot than pointed out Hillsong's history of being anti-LGBT including promoting conversion therapy. At that point conservative YouTubers started attacking Elliot and defending Chris and the Church.

Then later Chris himself came out against the Church.

Was there really any instance of Chris himself saying anything anti-LGBT? It seems like guilt by association mostly.

In my area we've got a chapter (that cannot be the right term, can it?) of Unitarians that have been super-supportive of the LGBTQIA+ population. The first year we did Pride we had planning sessions and some events at their location. That's apparently pretty across-the-board for the denomination from what I hear.

Then the Presbyterian church has a gay pastor, we've done fundraisers there (mental health stand-up comedy, I did a set on being autistic that went over well). Don't know how common it is for Presbyterians in general, though.

There are groups out there, they're just usually out-screamed by the chuds.

Yes his brother is a far right chud. I knew that. And he might be one too. I have heard though that his views align with his father in law so I don't think he's a Trump supporter.

I don't like Pratt as an actor because of his lack of range but really I see no reason to hate him because of who he might be.
