I say it was hard for me to ever believe that anything could beat my favorite RPGs of all time and yet this game did just that. What an amazing adventure. I am on the credits and I'm tearing up.

Although I say that, I have some complaints, as well.

My first and biggest complaint was the hero. He looked a bit plain and I didn't like how when you fused with your real body, you took on the form of the protagonist. I liked the prince's original appearance, so much so, that I was more disappointed than astounded when I realized you were the prince in your ideal form. Still, that was an amazing plot twist, and all when I didn't expect to see any more plot twists.

The amount of plot twists and how they all worked on me was nothing short of extraordinary. From who really attacked the prince, to More's identity, I was shocked. This game also had me doing something that I missed doing and that was grinding. Grinding was a lot of fun and I spent hours just circling towers to power up my Archetypes, get MAG, and reeve. I finished the game with so much of it, that if I DO decide to replay, I won't have any need to grind again.

So my second complaint is the new game plus. Yes, you get to keep your archetypes, your MAG, and your reeve, but considering I have all the best equipment in the game, all of my archetypes unlocked, and finished every quest, I have no need for it, so it's ultimately a waste. All there is in the new game is to beat a super boss and you can't really just fight it when you want. The fact that you need to beat a long game like this one to get to it kinda makes it seem like a slog but I guess in many years when I feel like returning to the game, I'll have that to look forward to, but it would suck for a completionist to get 100 hours in and then have to play several more just to unlock it.

Here's my third complaint:

The most important complaint.

So very important.

No romance. Sure, I guess we don't need one, but after playing Persona 5, I really liked the idea of one. Especially when I found that I liked one of the characters to romance. Even if it was just an official romance(one you can't choose) I'd have been okay with it. Eupha is so genuine and cute, I feel like they should have ended the game with her being your fiancee.

So that's most of my complaints. Of course, that doesn't mean I hate the game or anything. My love for it outweighs it all.

I couldn't sleep last night because I got to the end where I had to talk to everyone and it was 4 in the morning so I needed to sleep, but I hope when a sequel comes out, it will be about Will and the party. I hate the idea of starting with a new cast, especially with one as loveable as this one. Although I don't like how plain Will looks, I still like him. There's still so much to do, and after talking with everyone in the town, all I could think about was "I really need to do something about this." I truly took on the fantasy of being this character and wanting to make changes and make a difference.

Truthfully, I feel like everyone in the world needs to play this game, because it hits close to home and if people could play this game and just put perspective on the current world like it's done for me, I think we'd have a better place.

This game really put me in a mood. It's made me want to play Dungeons and Dragons again, something I haven't done in years, and have ideas for a campaign. I wish people could think like these people could, to quickly come to wisdom rather than willfully stay ignorant like they do. I have seen NPCs parrot things that I've heard real people say and, at first, the game was terrifying in that aspect, but making the change really helped me.

All I can say is, I'm now really sad. The game is over, and I don't know what to do next. It's like putting down a good book with the knowledge that there's nothing beyond the end, but all I can do is reminisce until they decide to make a new one.

Also, I had a couple of achievements I needed to finish such as riding the sword and talking to Gallica but...funnily enough, after thinking about giving it a go for another minute, I was going to just beat the game and hopefully do it again in new game+ but then actually unlocked the sword riding one, and then wondered if pressing Y even at this point was going to unlock the Gallica one, and then that unlocked lol

Yeah, it was really good. Can't wait to see what the future is in store for this burgeoning franchise

Amazing game. First game I beat in 2025. I liked the twists, the characters, the battle system. There were a few points where I thought MP recovering items were a little too sparse, but overall, absolutely loved the game.

I don't think I want a sequel with all the cast though. Not in the traditional RPG setting anyway. Yeah, Will wants to keep adventuring, but he also has some real responsibilities now. I don't like him and all the cast leaving their current space to go on another adventure. I could see it working if they made it like a base building game on top of things. I don't remember the town being utterly destroyed, but there's always room for improvements, so you could go adventuring to get resources to build up your kingdom, that kind of thing would be ok I think.

By the end of the game, there's plenty that needs to be done, and while Will going on an adventure seems strange by the standard of him being king, I think they can do something about that. Hell, what happens if something bigger happens? There's other lands out there, what if they're suddenly attacked? I can see some new legend coming out and there's so much land they can still probably explore eventually.

I do like the base building aspect you mentioned. As for the MP replenishment, I just cheesed it by using my wizard's overworld ability to destroy everything that comes out of the crystals until my MP was replenished. I had no need for those items for half the game, tbh. I actually used the Brawler archetype with first aid so that I didn't use any necessary MP when I needed to heal as well. By the end of hte first dungeon, I was pretty fresh and the rest of the dungeons were relatively short.

But by over halfway through the game, I could kill most things in the overworld lol...at some point, I was even grinding Magla potions these moths that would come out endlessly from a crystal and I was just sitting on merchant and swinging away. By the end of the game, I had 10 million reeve and over 1 million MAG
