To this day certain people complain about the progressive support for Markey over Joe Kennedy III in their Senate race, but considering how heavily supported Kennedy III was over Markey by Israel-allied organizations it's doubtful that he'd have also voted to block the weapons.

I do apreciate Sanders trying even if it's doomed. Fighting even against the odds is a good thing.

The thing some of you don't realize, is that a lot of the people who didn't vote for her didn't consider it a protest vote, they just didn't care. She didn't make a large portion of the base care at all. You can scream all day at the top of your lungs about how "See, you should have voted!" They didn't, it's over; far as I'm concerned, this mess is partly on her shoulders, and of course Biden's.

That's fair. He shouldn't have made that accusation at you. I do think he was pretty heated in the moment and kinda jumped off when that random low karma account suddenly appeared after he blocked you, but that doesn't make it okay.

Most of these people never bring this stuff up from a place of compassion or genuine concern for Palestinians. It's for dumb internet gotcha points, along with being a transparent tactic to derail and shut down any discussion about the ongoing genocide and the politics surrounding and enabling it.

The vast majority of them will sit around doing precisely as much as they accuse the others of doing in regards to organising, protesting, or spreading awareness that is to say, "nothing". As they did before they spent their maximum effort of colouring in a bubble next to a name. As they will continue to do while frequenting online spaces to complain about protesters, or whoever, whenever Palestine is mentioned, regardless of context or atrocities being addressed. The people actually going out protesting genocides continue to do so at great risk to themselves while weirdos go around trolling on the internet. Pretty gross, tbh, and a tired joke at this point.

It's why these kinds of topics are best reserved for secure or local communities that are actually trying, where they won't be constantly hijacked by braying jackasses.
