I was gonna ignore this when I saw the headline but Jeff Grubb is no amateur when it comes to rumours and leaks.

That said, I don't think I have any interest in this.

jeff grubb has a track record of never being correct

if he says something is going to happen, it's an extremely safe bet that the opposite is what's going to happen.

Yeah. They turned an amazing art style with vivid greens, shining white stone, and an ethereal fantasy aura into something that looks more like a post-apocalyptic Fallout game. It's brown and bland.

I'm not talking about resolution or polygon counts here. I'm talking art design.

I've played 100 hours of Oblivion and dont' know how it ends >_> I just did like 2 main quests and never bothered

There's three pictures. One is indoors and looks like it did color wise, and the other looks plenty green and not as bloomfilled as the original. That third picture, as has been stated, is almost certainly from a setting sun which sets the lighting like that.

Supposedly releasing before the end of the month.

-blocking inspired by Souls-like games
-sneak icons now highlighted
-stamina system modified
-HUD changed
-hit reactions added
-archery overhauled

This is the stuff that has been rumored as changed. Nothing about leveling so far.

I hate that people use that line as a false example of 'lolz randum humor' when the follow-up line is well-crafted: "You've run the maze like a good little rat, but no cheese for you yet." In fact very little of Sheogorath's dialogue qualifies as 'randum humor.'

Eh, in a vacuum of those two lines, sure.

Sheogorath hits the "cheese" button in dialogue more often than that, though, unless I'm remembering incorrectly.

I'm 95% sure that he doesn't. The meme took off from that one solitary line.

I'm playing through SI right now and will keep an ear out for any other repetitions (and will correct myself if there are any).

Best proof I can offer atm is that searching 'Cheese' on his wiki page of game dialogue only results in four hits, which are all contained in the one instance of dialogue:

Yeah, I already covered that, lol. I literally just played through that segment last night, in fact.

For whatever reason people zeroed in on that one line and meme'd the hell out of it to the point where people genuinely misremember Sheogorath talking nonstop about cheese. There's an alternate dimension out there in which the Internet latched on to his line about jumping rope with your intestines and made that his entire personality.

And it's kind of a shame that the meme eventually caused people to handwave Sheogorath as 'randum' humor, because he's genuinely well-written as far as 'crazy' characters go, which is why he became memorable in the first place. 'Randum' humor is just a nonsensical mismatch of unrelated words or phrases ('teh penguin of doom!'); on the other hand, good writing in this regard results in a character that seems wacky and nonsensical on the surface, but is actually clever / self-aware through a combination of references, callbacks, and foreshadowing, which is what most of Sheo's dialogue actually is.

For instance, one of the topics you can ask him about at the start is the capital city New Sheoth: "Ah... New Sheoth. My home away from places that aren't my home. The current location is much better than some of the prior ones. Don't you think?" A nonsensical line on the surface, but when you later learn that he's actually Jyggalag and lays waste to his own realm every few centuries, it actually makes sense that New Sheoth gets destroyed and rebuilt in different locations each time.

How is it a shadow drop if we're fully expecting it? This is just an instance of not knowing the exact release date.

I mean, we have allegedly been told the 21st by Xbox Support so we know that as well.

The relevant bit is that none of this info was deliberately released, it's all leaks.

When Skyrim came out, my little sister was born so we had to leave and go to the hospital and it ruined my fun.

Guess what? I have my own baby due on May 17th this year. I feel like my fun is going to be ruined!
