That's not really true. For one thing millennials are much more emotionally open than boomers. In fact boomers make fun of them for it a lot. Millennials are more likely to say "this tradition is dumb and doesn't make sense, why are we doing this?" in the first place

No offense to PO here but gen x are definitely the most spoiled generation. Overall, they grew up with their parents stacking their riches in a great economy minus the late 70s. And then when THEY were of working age, the economy was probably the best it's ever been

The problem is that you're looking at them now and that's the only thing you understand about them.

But when Boomers were young? They were you.

Everything you resent about Boomers is what 40-50 years of life have turned them into.

They are literally your future.

You will be no different, no matter how hard you try and convince yourself otherwise. They used to be the emotional ones. The spiritual ones. The pacifists, the anti-capitalists, the anti-establishment. The ones who clearly saw all the mistakes of the past, who were going to fix everything. The environmentalists who loved the Earth and were going to heal it from all the harm done to it by greedy old men. The ones who were going to embrace love and end war. The ones who were going to fight against racism, sexism, and bigotry of all flavors. The ones who were going to "turn on, tune in, and drop out".

The more of an idealist you start out as, the harder you fall. Every time you mock a Boomer, you are looking into a mirror.

And 40-50 years from now, Gen Alpha or Gen Beta will probably be telling you how your generation was absolute shit and how you ruined literally everything you touched.

I wouldn't necessarily deny it. We're also the cynical ones who noped the fuck out. It's hard to lose your idealism and turn into a jaded fuckstick when you don't have any idealism to start with.

We're also the ones Millennials generally try to start taking shots at when the Boomers stop paying attention. Because it always has to be someone else's fault. The alternative would involve a sense of personal responsibility, and that went out of fashion about 20 years ago.

I won't deny millenials and beyond are terrible with avoiding accountability and blaming someone else. That's one thing I've found gen x at least doesn't do. But also, a lot of the things us millenials do blame are actually very real problems

Lol. I knew you would get mad, but that's mostly aimed at all the customers I have to help. I don't know how or why young people have infinitely more manners, but they do.

Also they hate their wives and don't like women, then I'm supposed to laugh, but 80% of my friends are women.

I think there are a few factors here. For one, millenials and gen z grew up watching their parents and other adults act like entitled children at stores amd restaurants and thought "I don't want to be like that." Secondly, all the videos of Karens on the internet... you don't want to be like or worse... end up on the internet acting like that. Third, people under 40 are largely soft as baby shit and scared of confrontation. It's one thing to act like a Karen but I've seen tons of people let themselves be taken advantage for fear of being rude or having an argument

If that claim is true then its an interesting observation about Gen X, no need to hate on other generations. I really dont understand how millennials are just like boomers though, boomers are still in power...
