due to an error code of the 2107 variant? I want to be rationale as last night I was having severe panic attacks over it. It's been fine today, been in sleep mode and used. Do error codes shut off the system? If it is something hardware related how quickly would the system die? Please help. I had to turn the system back on when it was in sleep mode and seen that error code in the listings... --- https://www.anime-planet.com/users/RJP/anime/watched Recommend some anime, preferably completed series or in the least, series that feel like they ended well. ... well if it got an error code, then it likely crashed, so 2107 is a general issues, you really need the other four numbers to narrow it down. either way, just turn it back on, then manually turn it off and back on --- see my gundams here https://imgur.com/a/F7xKM5r updated 04/09/25; hg black knight squad cal -re. a ... ConfusedTorchic posted... well if it got an error code, then it likely crashed, so Pretty much all of this. You need the full error code to do any real troubleshooting, otherwise just do a manual restart and carry on as normal. Crashes happen sometimes. It's not really a big deal if it's just the occasional one. If it starts happening more frequently, you may need to send it in for repairs. --- This is my signature. Well now it happened to my other Switch as well, and while it was in sleep mode I think it over heated in its case because it lost a lot of percentage and was off. Turned it back on checked error list and it had the same error code 2701-0001. Nintendo don't have 0001 officially in its records and when you search only AI has an answer with different responses. Make sure you're not getting 2101-0001. In some fonts and on a small screen the 1 and 7 can look similar. 2101-0001 usually indicates a charging issue. If it's happening to both, I'd suspect your charger, cable, or dock, especially if you use the same charger/dock for both. --- Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, Minutus carborata descendum pantorum. ... Its the official charger and I do use it for both. Anyway to rule out the outlet easily? My chromebook is plugged into it and don't seem to have issues. I'm going to get a new Lite I think but, I'm worried something will happen to it if I use the outlet in this room. Would plugging it all into a power strip make it safer even if the outlet is the culprit? Also if I were to get a new charger is it safe to use on both Switch's or are they likely damaged? --- https://www.anime-planet.com/users/RJP/anime/watched Recommend some anime, preferably completed series or in the least, series that feel like they ended well. ... If you're using a dock, you are best off with a genuine Nintendo AC adapter, because the dock requires two very specific voltages (5.0V 1.5A and 15.0V 2.6A) that not all third-party chargers can handle correctly. If you're charging the Switch by itself, any USB-C charger should be fine as long as it can put out 5V and at least 1.5A. But if you are indeed getting error 2701, then it's probably not a charging issue. Charging problems generally get error 2101. The only thing I can find about 2701 is that it is outside the normal range of hardware codes, which suggests a software problem. Make sure your Switches have the latest firmware updates. --- Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, Minutus carborata descendum pantorum. ... Copied to Clipboard!

One-off error codes and crashes aren't a good reason to get a whole new system. Just keep an eye on them moving forward and if you get any more crashes, see if you can find some common element between them, otherwise it's nothing to be concerned about until you start seeing them frequently. --- This is my signature.
