Before, I was willing to travel there if the pay was adequate. Now, I cant see myself ever stepping foot in the US again, but Im okay with that.

The key aspect would be whether or not you can work without knowing the language. In certain fields, you can. In others, its more or less impossible.

But if you can get a job in a predominantly English-speaking working environment, moving to a country where you dont speak the language isnt necessarily a big deal.

I saw plenty of Japanese locals walking and eating too. They were usually by themselves tho. I didnt because some guy on YouTube said it was rude but idk, I feel like some of those rules are meant to be broken sometimes or are just completely over blown.

biggest thing for me is I have a kid on the way and I simply cannot get over the fact that japan is so safe that they just let kids walk around on their own. I'd give up so much just so my kid can live in an environment like that

but how much exactly I'd give up, idk. am I willing to live the rest of my life as a second class citizen because I can't speak Japanese?

I wouldn't mind visiting, but I'm not capable of learning the language.

I saw a salaryman popping a squat at a train station and eating a bun while scroll through his phone with his other hand. It was a pretty Japanese thing to witness lol

Bruh, I saw 5 year olds with bus cards getting on and off the bus like it was nothing in Tokyo. America's education system is cooked compared to the other countries >_> I don't see our stupid kids doing something as simple as that, not to mention how dangerous it is here.

It's a beautiful country lol. Great food, the people were friendly and spoke great English (at least in the city) and just gorgeous scenery and weather (when I was there it was nice at least lol). I hear a lot of people retire there too.

I loved the food and the culture and the hornyposting in Japan, but man is it fucking HOT as balls there. Maybe more north it would be nicer, but 85F / 30C in October is rough >_>

Just Lisbon and the surrounding area, like a true tourist lol. Wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the country someday

yeah. breaks my heart knowing my kid will have to suffer through brainrot + a sheltered life here.

I've only been to the south, but it was nice. Really want to visit Lisbon some time
