This was my first time visiting Six Flags in over 12 years and we had so much fun.

Unfortunately, my gf started getting really nauseous towards the end of the day, so we didn't try West Coast Racers, or Wonder Woman (we put them off because they had consistently longer wait times). And Apocalypse has apparently been closed for refurbishment since 2024 (hopefully it doesn't end up with the same fate as Superman). So I won't include those 3 in the ranking. But here's my rankings, with a bit of my thoughts.

  1. X-2. Still my all time favorite at the park. The way the seats flip while you're going through the track is just so disorientingly fun. Nothing beats that craziness for me. And thankfully, since the ride had to be temporarily shut down twice that morning, there was almost no wait time when we got on.
  2. Twisted Colossus. Holy moly this ride caught me off guard. The amount of air time you get is insane. And it feels so fast the way it whips around the track. Amazing ride and I'm glad I finally got to experience it. Huge improvement over the old Colossus (which wasn't even in my top 5). Also my first time on an RMC Hybrid coaster
  3. Tatsu. Still a fantastic coaster. It's such a crazy feeling to be laying down while going through inversions. I had forgotten about the amount of force you feel in the pretzel loop, so that was a fun surprise.
  4. Full Throttle. This was another new one for me. The way it slows down at the top of the loop is terrifying with just the lap bar. But overall it was a lot of fun. I loved the launches and the top hat over the loop. Just wish it was a bit longer.
  5. Goliath. The former tallest coaster in the world (it held that record for a whopping 3 months lol). With my fear of heights, this is the one that always makes me the most nervous. That first drop (255 feet) is terrifying, but I still have fun on it every time.
  6. Scream. Still the only floorless coaster I've been on and still a great ride. Super smooth and probably my favorite zero g roll on any coaster over been on.
  7. Batman. It's a short, but sweet ride. I really like how much you feel the turns as it whips around.
  8. Riddler's Revenge. A great standing coaster. I forgot how loud it is, but the inversions still feel great.
  9. Ninja. It's not an intense coaster at all, but the way the coaster swings around turns is still a lot of fun.
  10. New Revolution. The OG looping coaster. It's nothing crazy, but it was still a lot of fun. I didn't realize the VR thing was only temporary, so sucks that we missed that (they removed it years ago).
  11. Gold Rusher. Old and shaky. Least intense ride in the park, imo. Good little coaster for when you need a break though.
  12. Viper. Admittedly, we skipped this one and it seems many others did too. It always had a 1 minute wait time whenever we looked at wait times. I've avoided this coaster because it's old and rough and my head hitting the shoulder restraints always gives me a headache.

Unranked: Wonder Woman, West Coast Racers, Apocalypse. Wonder Woman, in theory would take the #4 spot above Full Throttle. West Coast Racers would probably be just behind Full Throttle. Apocalypse I remember being pretty fun, so I'd likely put it above Batman.

Anyway, that's my personal ranking of the coasters. Aside from West Coast Racers and Wonder Woman being 50+ minutes at several points, the lines weren't actually that bad. Like 15-20 minutes for most coasters.

Besides putting Riddler last cause I hate standups, your list mirrors mine, X2 is an experience that youmust partake in, I just feel that with the new Six Flags chain the ride doesnt have much time left, so get as many rides as you can....

Nice, similar lists. And I hope not, but with them permanently closing something as iconic as Superman, I wouldn't doubt if they close X-2 at some point, due to not wanting to deal with the maintenance

I have not been since 2007, but Goliath and Scream are always great. The overall queue for Batman is amazing. I am just glad I did notnhave to experience Green Lantern since it hurt.

Oh yeah, Green Lantern, the ball buster is gone. Replaced by Wonder Woman.

They'll probably run Viper to the ground. Too old and the designer / manufacturer closed shop in the early 2000s.

Is the superman and Batman at MM the same as the ones in Discovery Kingdom? Only been to the latter. I wonder how it compares to MM

Yeah, what Incurso91 said. Arrow Dynamics went bankrupt in 2002 and their other looping coasters at Six Flags parks have already been demolished. Six Flags is likely going to just let it ride until they need to shut Viper down permanently.

Nah, Six Flags uses the same name for different coasters. There's like 5 or 6 different "Superman" rides lol. Discovery Kingdom's Batman is similar to the Green Lantern Ride Magic Mountain used to have, which was nicknamed "ball buster" because the restraints would hit your balls repeatedly.

Here's what Magic Mountain's Superman looked like (permanently closed now):

And here's Batman:

What do superman, escape has been permanently closed? Did you like that ride? Maybe magic m ain't that 2nd best in the world after cedar point anymore. Did you go on a weekend day? Isn't magic m open in January too? Heard wonder woman was the hot new ride. Heard cedar point also got a single rail coaster too.

Yeah, Superman is permanently closed. They closed it for maintenance, but had difficulty sourcing the parts needed to fix it, so they closed it permanently. I've ridden it a few times over the years, so I at least got to experience it.

So now they're back down to 19 coasters. But the park coming for their title isn't actually Cedar Point this time, it's Energylandia in Poland. They are also at 19 coasters and are working on adding another coaster to reach 20 total.

And no, we specifically avoided the weekend because at this time of year, weekends get really bad. We went this past Wednesday, and the lines weren't bad at all. We would have had enough time to ride everything had my gf's stomach not gotten messed up. I highly recommend using isitpacked.com for theme park planning. It predicted that it would be fairly empty on the day we went, and it was right on the money.

Yeah, Wonder Woman and West Coast Racer's are the two newest coasters. So those 2 had the longest lines. We're going to try and go to those first next time. I think it's open in January, but I have no way of verifying that until they release their schedule. Right now, you can only buy tickets up to September 1st.

I was scared of roller coasters around 10-13 years old. Ended up at magic mountain and one of the older kids in our group assured me I will never be afraid of another roller coaster if I just get on the viper. He talked me into. My first roller coaster. We rode back cart. I was barely tall enough. I was flying around in those restraints on the last few corkscrews banging all over, still enjoyed it.

Definitely broke my fear of roller coasters. Viper holds a special place for me.

Nice. I was also terrified of big roller coasters when I was younger. My first big coaster was Deja Vu. For 8th grade grad night, my class was the first ones through the gates, so they decided we should all run to Deja Vu at the back of the park, so there would be no wait. I was so focused on running there that I didn't have time to look at it before we were at the station being loaded on.

It was an "oh shit" moment for me once it started going up and up (177 feet drop), but it definitely removed some of my fear. The only rides I didn't get on that night were Goliath and Superman, which were both taller than Deja Vu lol. Now I ride everything.
