Okay, so as you know, big wrestling nerd here. Also Im a news junkie. I thought it would be fun to have wrestling news thread, where I and you as well, post some random rasslin news updates of the day and then we discuss.

Major news like someone getting fired, major hires, deaths, etc will still get their own thread.

Ehhh, wrestlers being right wing is pretty common, but being THAT right wing is definitely problematic.

Has anyone seen any official confirmation that Darby Allin has made it safely back to solid ground after his climb up Mt. Everest yet? I know he posted a photo from the summit, but I haven't heard anything since then and I know the descent back down afterwards can be pretty tough too.

Yeah theres some in WWE that are problematic

i'm guessing war raiders will be gone when their contract is up as well. if not before depending on how long they have left. they really haven't done much since they lost the titles. even won they won they didn't really do much either. them and sarah if she still wants to wrestle would be good in TNA though.

WOR: As far as Chris Jericho coming back to AEW, theres nothing on the table right now.

Technically, hes always been available because even when Jericho tours with Fozzy, his Wednesdays are open. Jericho simply felt that it was time for a break.

The rumor now is that R-Truth was offered a contract at a lower wage and he rejected it. Or at least that was something that I read online.

Kinda hope he has another TNA run as The Truth.

I did see a funny suggestion in that he should go to AEW and with all the ex-WWE guys there he should act like he still thinks he's in WWE.

Find it funny that so many people said AEW would treat Riccochet so well, and his role in the company is to be bald shamed. XD

During a most recent interview with Rene Dupree, former WWE Superstar Maven discussed his recent backstage visit at AEW Collision. He heavily praised the care and sincerity that TK showed to the wrestlers at the event. Maven Also emphasized on the amount of character tony has for the love he has for not only professional wrestling, but the talent and personnel.

Maven on his meeting with TK:
What wasnt planned was if I was going to be able to talk to Tony at the end of the night. They were filming Ring of Honor in the beginning, then Collision live, and then Ring of Honor at the end. After Collision ended, before they filmed the second half of Ring of Honor, this contact told me Tony wants to meet with you. I was waiting for about 30 minutes.

On TK checking on every wrestler:
Im not kidding, Rene, every match that ended, every wrestler that came out of the ring, Tony got up from his Vince McMahon gorilla position, took his headphones off, and checked on every wrestler, and he was sincere about it. What a hell of a guy. Thats a guy I would work for. Thats a guy I would go to the mat for. When guys like MJF dont leave, I see why. When Jon Moxley would rather work for him than WWE? I see why. Great environment.

Scott DAmore praised AEWs Anarchy in the Arena match, which he says is a top-tier gimmick match. DAmore also called Double or Nothing the best wrestling PPV of the year so far.

On Anarchy in the Arena:
AEWs Anarchy in the Arena match, with the nonstop chaos and rock music playing on a loop, has joined Hell in a Cell, War Games, the Royal Rumble and, I would humbly suggest, Ultimate X as one of the industrys top-tier gimmick matches. Anarchy has done for falls-count-anywhere brawls what War Games and Hell in a Cell did for cage matches, and what the Royal Rumble did for battle royals. It took a staple gimmick and elevated it to something unique and truly spectacular.
On Double or Nothing:
AEW put on the best wrestling show of 2025 with their Double or Nothing event this past Sunday in Glendale, Arizona. AEWs tagline is Where the Best Wrestle, and Tony Khan has a roster of world-class talent that takes that mantra as an absolute promise on every pay-per-view event. I mean every word of this: Only a handful of wrestlers ever could have put on the match that Will Ospreay and Hangman Adam Page did last Sunday. It was breathtaking, a roller coaster that left you almost emotionally exhausted.

Matthew Jackson: If PWG Were For Sale, I Would Make An Offer

The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) became synonymous with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla over the years as the brothers were based in California and made the promotion their home for the longest time.

PWG hasn't run a show since 2023 and it is unknown if or when the promotion will run again.

Speaking on a Q&A stream, Matthew commented on future plans for him and his brother, noting that they've talked about buying PWG.

"Me and Nick have talked about a lot of things. We've talked about buying PWG. Starting our own indie. A wrestling school. In the next few years, if we're going to do something, it'll probably happen in the next few years," he said.

He later added, "Let me clarify, I don't know if PWG is for sale. If it was for sale, I would make an offer."

I greatly dislike Styles for how he's just so... dumb redneck conservative, politically.

But I greatly like Styles for how earnestly he just loves gaming.

Tony being a nice guy has been pretty well known for a while.

I believe Punk commented at one point something akin to "he's a nice guy, but he's not a boss."

Also I wanna say that Maven has turned into a really great Youtuber. Check out his channel, he has some good stuff there.

Basically, he got treated how AJ Styles was treated by TNA under Dixie Carters administration.
It completely sucks.
