I could maybe see FF if word of mouth and Pedro Power pulls it up. The MCU doesn't guarantee a billion and the FF isn't that popular but I think it has a better chance than the others that have very recently been disliked properties.

Edit: had no idea Dominion made a billion and no one liked that one. This one could pull through.

I think Superman will do really well, but probably won't break a billion.

Fantastic Four, I feel is gonna depend heavily on word of mouth.

No chance on Superman or FF4 hitting a billion. I can't believe people are still gobbling up all the Jurassic series slop, but it seems likely to make a billion.

I can see all three making a billion and all three missing tbh.

I think JW4 is the most likely to miss because I don't know if ScarJo has enough star power to push them over the hump like Chris Pratt did in the mid 2010's and the hype of bringing back the whole OG cast for Dominion. Dinosaurs seem to do really well in markets outside of America if I remember the JW films' performances correctly so maybe those areas push it over. I'm 30/70 on make/miss 1 billion.

Superman i think will get over with the hype behind Gunn and the genuine fans. However, GotG 3 didn't get over and that's the best MCU movie since like... Infinity War? Civil War? Winter Soldier? Maybe ever? Superman as a character and his place in public conciousness could push it over though, I think the performance looks great from what we've seen so far. I'm 60/40 make/miss.

Fantastic Four is my pick to most likely make it tbh. I think Pedro has the power to push it over, plus Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn also meaningfully contribute to fan interest. Plus the interest in a big Marvel property going into Doomsday next year contributes to more eyes. I think the ending of Thunderbolts* will help drum up interest in this movie specifically even though TB underperformed for how good it is. I'm 80/20 on make/miss.

F4 has a shot but Marvel oversaturation and the Anti-Woke crowd will hurt it's sales

For Supes too many DC reboots and screwing over Cavil puts them in a bad spot worse than Marvel

Jurassic World has been a mindless Summer Blockbuster action movie but people eat that up. Perhaps fatigue will set in though

I don't think any of them will. Fantastic Four has a shot if it reviews well. Good Marvel movies have tended to still do well at the BO when other Marvel movies have struggled.

I think DC and Jurassic World are too tainted for them to make a billion, unless JW reviews really well. As mentioned although all JW movies have made a billion, the third one barely did, probably due to terrible word of mouth.

Superman and F4 are probably gonna flop.

maybe JW4. i never watched the last one but first 2 were good all 3 made 1 billion. this one will probably take a dip in sales though.

if batman vs superman didn't make 1 billion i doubt this reboot will

fantastic 4 has sucked. this one is there last ditch effort and pumping it with star power so should do better than the rest but still highly doubt it breaks 1 billion. there's not much interest in them. it might edge out JW4 at best but that would also mean JW4 did less than expectations.

The issue with Fantastic Four is that while they are a known property, they do not have public trust. And the MCU isn't a guaranteed money-maker anymore. Their previous flops were said to be poor movies in general, but Thunderbolts* was good and still flopped. But Thunderbolts aren't known and the time where an audience was open-minded to something they haven't heard of like Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't exist currently. F4 tho, people know about or at least know of. But every previous movie they've had were poorly-received. So yeah, it's an uphill battle for it, so it's really gonna depend on word of mouth.

Superman, it depends how well WB communicates this is a fresh start with a new creative team. The DC movie brand is also tainted. Will movie audiences forgive and give them another shot? Who can say.

If both these movies flop, then the superhero movie is officially in dire straits and it all rides on Avengers and if Avengers flops, then it's safe to say the genre (for live-action movies) is done. Sad to say but at that point, it can't be denied.

Jurassic World doesn't have any of these problems so I guess out of the three, it has the easiet road to a billion. But people are saying the last movie barely made it above that so maybe audiences could be tired of it too?

And then there are the forces that are out of these movies' control that they can't account for, like the state of the movie industry as a whole and theaters being too expensive.

It's rough out there for movies.

I think all of them will.

Is Superman getting a release in China? If it is getting a Chinese release, it will hit a bil for sure.

Jurassic World could suck and still break the box office. While Superman and F4 could be decent and still flop.

My money is on FF making the closest to a billion with Superman following.

The problem is that they are all out so close to each other and have the same target audience so they will cannibalize each other. FF probably has the best shot depending on reviews because it's out last.

FF Thunderbolts numbers, if that. People dont like Pascals antics recently and the team, on general, looks really miscast. Plus the cold, hard reality that no FF movie ever did crazy numbers like that. They generally do just ok at best. Thats what this one should do.

I haven't been paying attention to the Superman marketing but all they really need to do is plaster "from the director of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy" all over everything to attract a wider audience.

And the reason past FF movies have flopped so hard is they were never actually trying. Every FF movie ever made was just to continue keeping the rights from reverting to Marvel. They were low effort and sunk by bad reviews and word of mouth. They've never been super popular but that's never been an issue with Marvel.

The only way to get them to stop making them is to stop paying for them. welcome to jurassic park 245

Jurassic World will surprise people. The franchise is still very popular worldwide. Definitely has a shot at a billion.

Superman will do well I think, but just miss a billion.

Fantastic Four is the least likely to make a billion. Never say never I guess, but I don't see it.

People are so jaded with this franchise and I don't know why. They are fun as hell and the only way to pump dinomine into my veins. Boggles my mind no one else is trying to compete with this multi billion dollar franchise.

They go on sale on Wednesday 6/11 which is a month before the release date and pretty normal. Fantastic Four tickets only just went on sale the other day.

I already have my tickets for F4. I am so over superman reboots after reboots after reboots. I like JW. I love scar jo. I will see it, but I am most excited about F4. I think Jim from the office would have been a better Mr. Fantasic but whatev.
