You've been given the chance to view 3 years of Earth's history in their entirety. You can pick any years you want, even future years, but you can't view any future video until it has happened. So, for example, if you chose this year, you'd be able to view up until the point of your current present self and would have to wait for the rest of the video until the time has passed.

What calendar are we using? Current iteration of the Gregorian calendar, so if you wanted the maximum amount of video, you could choose 3 leap years.

Do I have to know the exact year, or can I choose something vague, like the date the meteor struck Earth that culminated in the extinction of the dinosaurs? No, you don't need a specific year, choosing "year where x happened" is fine.

Can I see indoors? Yes, you can also increase lighting levels to let you see precisely what's happening. You can also go underwater or in caves. The "camera" can go anywhere on or in the planet and as high up as the edge of our atmosphere.

As an added bonus, whenever you're watching one of your videos, time is stopped, so you can view at your leisure.

A second bonus is having the "camera" auto track any living thing and automatically follow it around.

If there are any other questions about rules, post them and I'll try my best to address them.

So, what years would you pick?

This silly idea has been in my head for ages and I can never really nail down 3 years I'd watch. I'm somewhat set on at least one dinosaur year and likely one year where I'd have been alive, but no specific year comes to mind. As for my third year, I'd probably try to find out the answer to one of histories mysteries, but I'm not sure which one.

I'd want to see if Jesus Christ was real, if he did perform the miracles that are attributed to him, and if he really was crucified and then came back to life.

I'm not religious, I'm agnostic tending heavily towards atheism, but I'd love to really know the truth re: Jesus, and therefore Christianity. So I'd say the last three years of Jesus' life, if I could see three years from the past.

How long do I have to view?

Until you die. Can start and stop whenever you want.

I would have to think and maximize my money making years.

I guess Id pick future years to maximize my returns in the stock market

1937, mostly to see what a few areas in my neck of the woods was like, such as the oil refinery I work at and steam locomotives on familiar tracks, to name a couple. After that I'd enjoy just panning around the world and seeing/hearing things in living color and sound.

I'd have to sit on the other two years. I can't immediately think of any other past event I'd care to witness in real time.

Like I get comprehensive knowledge of everything that happened in the world during the years in question? Three years of ongoing omniscience would be way more useful than any amount of historical knowledge would be.
