Yeah, yeah, I know, shaders on PC. But as a console player this is exciting.

I tried it out on PC and it's really hard to go back to the original graphics, even if they tank performance.

I've owned the game for so long I can't even remember how I acquired it. All I do is play in creative mode. You can have a lot of fun with the game without even touching the main survival mode.

They talk about how this is the first step so I really hope we get things like colored lighting or carriable torches.

Is this available on current consoles?

** Vibrant Visuals graphics upgrade is currently only available for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
Supported devices for Vibrant Visuals include Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and PC.
-Android: Adreno 640, Mali-G68, Mali-G77, or Xclipse 530 or higher
-iOS: A12 or M1 or higher
-PC: Running Minecraft on DX12
Splitscreen multiplayer is not supported with Vibrant Visuals and the game will switch to Fancy or Simple rendering if multiple players are joined locally.

They say that they'll work to get it on more platforms later (I assume that includes Switch 2 at some point)

Its real user friendly to get into.

A good way to start is creative mode and just building whatever you want. Like virtual legos.

Then you try survival and you have to find the blocks you need plus acquiring food and work on not dying.

Once you have a comfortable base then you explore. Maybe set a goal for yourself like find and kill X villain.
