Now I will point out that you can get this trophy without actually making any of them your girlfriend.

You just have to go through the "pre" dating, getting to know them better, going out to play minigames, getting really close, get her "intimacy meter" up, and then have her confess her feelings for you.

Once that happens, the trophy pops, and you'll get the opportunity to confirm or reject the relationship. There is no gameplay penalty for either except that if you reject the relationship, you can't play minigames with them anymore.

......Except that you spent all that time, basically all but telling her you're SUPER interested in dating her, only to pull the plug at the last second. Yagami's excuse is something around the lines of "main plot stuff is happening and my life is in danger".

And it is PARTICULARLY toxic in the case of one woman: Nanami. Her deal is that she's incredibly shy about getting back into a relationship after so many bad ones, you basically have to work with her best friend to TRICK her into hanging out with you, she discovers the trick, rejects you, but then you engineer ANOTHER trick to get her to a spot where you can finally have it out and she agonizingly confesses to you, noting how messed up it all is.

...aaaand you can just say "Nah."

i dont know how to vote. it's fucked up that Yagami preys on these women at all.

Both are pretty bad, but the second is just beyond the pale.

I would say that besides Nanami, none of that is particularly messed up if you reject them. Happens all the time in reality. Sometimes it's "don't feel a spark" after 1 date, but sometimes you can reach 4-5 dates before that rejection happens. There's usually no expectation of exclusivity until several dates in when you officially discuss that.

But it's definitely messed up to make things "official" with multiple women at the same time

I only dated one of them, Sana Mihama

Felt it was a bit shit you could only use specific outfits for each character

I love both Judgment & Lost Judgment, need to do another playthrough and get the DLC done.

I do want to point out that each of the relationships involve Yagami saying things about how interested he is in pursuing a relationship with them, how special they are to him.

There's a TON of dialogue basically leading them towards the idea of proper relationship.

Like it's not a case of "oh you got the wrong idea about this I just wanted to hang out and have fun and I want to let you down gently". You only really get to the end by pushing the "I want a relationship" track.

So while Nanami plumbs new depths of fucked up, they're all pretty awful.

Oh absolutely. Half of them are past clients of his. Half of them he saves from assault and they strike up a relationship based on that.

And half of them are barely of age. Sana is 19 and Tsukino is 20.

There is only one genuinely good match for Yagami and it's Amane. The two of them form a proper working relationship ahead of time and actually compliment each other's skills quite well. Also she's 27. The only "negative" is that she's the "loopy fortune teller".

In Sleeping Dogs you can have multiple girlfriends at once.

One of them will end up cheating on you, when confronted she goes "But you cheated on me first with all these other girls!" and the game acts like she's a bitch for doing it and you beat up the guy she slept with.

Technically this is optional, you don't HAVE to date a bunch of girls to beat the game. But they're actual missions and shit, so odds are you're doing to do it.

That always felt odd to me. She's right. If petty.

Ah okay. It's been a while so I don't remember exactly what Yagami said during the dates. Yeah that makes it worse.

Which sucks because I really wanted Kiryu to have a happy love life. Kaoru was great for him, then they just wrote her away.

How is dating multiple people at once a bad thing? You are in a dating phase not in an exclusive relationship.

My record is 3 at once so 4 seems really sketchy lol

It's heavily implied at the end of each dating minigame with a particular woman that you're choosing to be exclusive.

And if you get to this point with a second woman after committing to one, Yagami will think to himself "Huh this would technically be cheating wouldn't it".
