A game lasting more than 16 innings. It can still easily happen if both teams have great bullpens or hot offenses.

Either the 16 inning game or the perfect game. And I am leaning towards perfect game. Its hard to get super long games any more with the One player starts on 2nd base in extra innings rule.

Perfect game is more likely than everything else on the list, and I dont think well ever see another 4,000 hit career. Batters have averages that are too low, they walk more these days, and injuries/days off are more common.

Not when most managers are all in on analytics and pitch counts. We would need a modern day Maddux that keeps pitch counts low while getting soft contact outs, and even then they would get taken out for platoon advantage, third time through, etc.

Same, Freddie Freeman is closest among active players and he still only has 2351 at 35 years old. Plus everyone wants sluggers over hitters. Look at Arraez, one of the best hitters of the past few years but gets tossed from team to team.

TC should have included 300 wins for a starting pitcher.

Again, with pitch counts and analytics and managers not caring about individual wins, I don't think anyone is reaching 300 in the foreseeable future. Closest 3 are Verlander, Kershaw, and Sherzer and they are about done with their careers.

It would still be a perfect game with pitching changes, though. We have combined no hitters.

Is there any current player who could realistically get anywhere close to 4,000 hits? I think that's in the same ballpark (teehee) of unattainable today as the Iron Man streak or 300 wins as a pitcher.
