I watch some youtubers who throw this stuff out and most of the videos are like oh hey Persona 5 Royal again, Clair Obscure 33 (I get it is a good to great, but it's the same price as it was when it was had the celebration release sale). Then there's oh hey don't forgot Cold Steel or Ys. Occasionally you'll get someone throwing out a game like Skald the Black Priory. Or something that's well I could have found more examples. I appreciate it when people would say oh hey maybe there is this game that wasn't impressive on release but on a sale, it's worth a look. Harvestella is pretty cool. I feel like I accidently overleveled a bit because I was just farming after Quietus for days because I planned for it and doing two dungeons at the same time.

The sidestories and the main quest are actually good. Even the quests with kids I like feel like they are emotional. The game does feel very budget at times, there isn't much voice acting and some of it is a little annoying and the combat is really basic. I just I remember when this was announced I was like, oh. Okay. It was Switch only and still is but I guess it showed up on PC. I paid 23 American Dollars for it, and eh I feel like it can't get really any worse than here though I don't expect the farming to get more amazing than Stardew Valley and the combat heh a lot of times I do just like simpler combat. No parrying systems here, though I am a bit upset I accidently overleveled the combat so far. It really does come down to just hit button and take damage at its simplest form.

The dialogue choices can feel odd, but the game still can be funny and not in a face palm way. I just mention the dialogue b/c usually you get two to three choices and at times it does feel a bit redundant and I don't think your choice often matters much....but it's still kinda fun most times. The worst ones are when someone says:

It's terrible it happened, bad things are happening in town. Edited a bit because of lighter spoilers and sometimes your responses are: What's terrible? I don't understand? or I want to help! I still like this game so far quite a bit. I just don't want anyone thinking this game is amazing, but I feel like it got overlooked and dumped on too early.

I'm interested in the game, but there is no way I am paying 3000 yen for it on this Steam sale. I could get a used physical copy on Switch for less than that. It's way too expensive still.

3000 Yen is about 20 USA dollars. I'd say it's worth 20 and change for sure. Not 60 but, plus I know I don't own the game obvs. I don't own a Switch either. I think at times I sorta of gave up on ownership of games as long the game price isn't very much. Plus clutter and things :/ Maybe Harvestella on Switch will be some odd rare game, but I seriously doubt it. Also here's a picture from the game:

The names are strange maybe because the limit is 10 characters like older games, but this mermaid like character is called Emo and she sings at a Tavern.

It is a genre of music which varies on the band the dispostion but this really got me thinking, plus Emo can't speak a language the party understands without a fairy so she just says Meep! Even Meep! Meep!

It was amazing and actually had a good story

I heard that Harvestella's advertising kinda focused on the wrong part of the game? That it made people think it's yet another farming sim with RPG elements but the farming stuff is just a bit of a smaller part of an actual RPG?

Well it does both, neither I think are going to get much more advanced than there are by chapter three. Where I am at I got another farm animal I can pet (I think there are just two) Also there is a lakeside farm, I think where I can plant by ingredients to grow sugar eventually. Ok the biggest red flag for me so far is that there are 57 enemies but twice as many things to cook? I don't mind palette swaps, but that really is unbalanced imo. They shoulda palette swapped more enemies unless this is going to be a surprise later. There are FOES and Etrian Odyssey like elements/events with some should you or shouldn't which seem inconsequential mostly. I definitely can handle some earlier FOES not sure if it would do more than just a completion checklist.

I had a lot of Tomatoes seeds so I planted them and bought some more because they were cheap, but it's my fault because I should have went bigger with more other high quality crops even if they were one time only and expensive!

This game was great, and the haters are really annoying tbh, most of who haven't even played the game. It's the reason we aren't getting any interesting games from square enix anymore and why they're just shoveling out a few ports of 30+ year old games here and there for full price now.

I don't want to give Square Enix too much credit here but I feel like this was one of their AA games that didn't meet their sales profits and wanted to stop a lot of that production while they were probably messing around with Crypto at the time too.

I think Livewire made this game? Who the fuck are they? Ok let me do some simple searching. They made Ender Lilies? I don't believe this. I need to search more.

So what's meeting their expectations then? That saga frontier 2 port? That 3DS port of bravely default they made a next-gen exclusive for unknown reasons?

Yeah it's good. I liked it more than Rune Factory 5 at least. The music is also VERY good

They got me there, I suppose that is a fun fact. I have Enderlillies 1 on Steam. I really liked it but I got a bit lost and just I kinda suck sometimes at reacting quickly and pattern recognition. I never would have thought they went on to make that. I think when I quit I wasn't stuck or frustrated, I was just happy I made progress and did not get back to it.

I am not sure of the profit margin, but I did not think this studio went on to make Ender Lilies. Since I never finished the first one, I never tried the sequel that came out earlier in the year.

I like Harvestella better, but I am going to bump this topic one more time as they made Enderlilies, The Quitess is a good idea and also Foxing debuted:

Emo it always comes back to music: I wanted to get into Foxing more. But I just lost some patience. This is quietness, but this is some band that went from dirty screamo, to punk, to, Queen stuff. Anyhow I am just posting because Foxing happens, it is as pages turn yellow and fade.
