Just found out Christopher Lee was once considered for the role of Magneto in X-Men before Ian McKellen was cast. Can you imagine?? The gravitas, the voice, the sheer menace. He was basically born to monologue about mutant supremacy.

Dont get me wrong, McKellen crushed it but now I cant stop thinking about a world where Dracula, Saruman, and Magneto were all the same guy.

Lee would have probably been good for a movie but I think he may have just been too old at that point, for a potential franchise at least

Whatll really blow your mind is finding out that Sir Christopher Lee was originally offered the role of Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, with Sir Ian McKellan originally cast as Saruman, but they wound up swapping roles since Lee was concerned about how active Gandalfs part in the trilogy was compared to Sarumans as he wasnt in as good a shape at that point due to old age taking its course.

Also, finding out that Grima Wormtongues actor is actually a softspoken American dude with a kind heart is quite jarring since he was method acting at all times on set to the point that when the filming for the third film finally wrapped and he dropped his British accent for his real American one, everybody else thought he was faking an American accent.

You're trying to tell me everyone thought the voice of Chucky was a brit? Dourif was pretty well known!

What the fudge. There really are some actors that can look like an entirely different person in different sets and makeup huh.

Was gonna say Alien 4 but that's only because he was basically wormtongue in that movie, felt like his audition tape for the role. Creeptacular

Brad Dourif also played Billy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, aka the young guy who kills himself right after Nurse Ratched threatens him, thus instigating the fight that ends with Jack Nicolson's character getting lobotomized.

Don't forget that Christopher Lee was such a badass spy when he was a young man that he is heavily rumoed to have been an inspiration for Ian Fleming when he created James Bond

As soon as you said it, I totally saw it, but even if I had rewatched the movie recently, I would never have realized without you pointing it out just now. That's kinda wild.
