Now that the shadow drop hype has worn off a bit, how's it doing?

Technically I am.

Just taking a break from it while waiting for patches.

Definitely better than the original, considering I never finished it.

I am, on the ~1 day per week that I have time to play. Graphics are great; rest of the game is about the same as the OG. I do appreciate the new leveling system since I dont have to track skill increases for stat multipliers anymore. I bought it at release and I think I have ~60 hrs on my one char

Too dated and the scaling ruins the game

IDK I kinda rushed through it to get 100% achievements and had no interest in continuing, just wasn't as satisfying as I remember.

It did motivate me to start a new Skyrim run though. I had 100% in the original but never touched the Special Edition that has its own set of achievements

Got the platinum trophy and turned it off. I'm glad for the remaster though, I had tried numerous times to get into OG oblivion and it just never stuck. The updated graphics helped a lot.

Didn't it just get a big update to fix the plethora of performance issues? I'll probably pick it up again to see how it is faring these days.

I played for about 130 hours and finished the main quest and a couple of faction questlines, but I plan to jump back in at some point to do more of the factions. I just knew that starting a new character immediately after a 130 hour run would ruin it for me, so I've been playing other stuff

I stopped cold about a month after release. Pretty much all of my favorite exploits were altered / hamstrung, which I could deal with, but then I started getting a ridiculous amount of crashing and just said fuck it.

Not even considering returning to the game until the fix the broken Staff of Worms and the awful move-drag / decorating placement, at bare minimum.

Still haven't started it, though I bought it. Partially because I need a new computer, partially because while I did not hate it it was my least favorite out of Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim. When it came out, decided to replay Skyrim. After that was done, went back to Morrowind, still working on that. While I will play it at some point after getting a new computer, more likely to finally give Arena and Daggerfall another chance after finishing Morrowind.

Same. I put it on hold while waiting for the difficulty patch. In the meantime, I got hooked on Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon. Ill go back to Oblivion someday soon, though.

It was running like shit on PS5 when I played a few weeks ago. I struggled through a 70 hour playthrough. Dozens of crashes, stuttering every several seconds when traveling the open world. They just released a new patch though, so I'm curious how it performs now.

Can I get my fucking Necromancer's Amulet yet?
