It's very fun trash. I end up fast-forwarding the boring bits to watch fights happen, and do NOT binge the show because you will feel like you wasted a bunch of time after. Cut yourself off after 1 episode.

Just clips. Not the kind of thing I enjoy watching usually.

I've only seen clips from it on CinnamonToastKen's channel, where he makes fun of the most ridiculous bits. It mostly seems to involve that guy with no neck.

Yes, just clips, it can't be that interesting to wait the same shit repeated every week

Admittedly I like the TLC 90 day Fiance stuff. There is a bunch of couples on there you know will often never make it, and a few cases where you outright know it is someone looking to get brought to a much better country and taking advantage of a massive difference in financials and then is going to ditch the person once they are able to get out of their country but there are some legitimately cool people on there that just seem to really work great together and it is so neat how two people from separate parts of the Earth can randomly come together sometimes.

So yeah I watch it and like it. My days off are Mondays and Tuesdays so when I get home Sunday night Im on my weekend and I look forward to the 90 day fianc show and I enjoy pillow talk with former season members commenting on the season. Some of its pretty fun. I also enjoy on Monday nights when they have some other style shows that often involve people from 90 day fianc and checks in on them.

I've never understood the appeal of watching something that you know is complete trash.

Not in the "so bad it's good" sense, but in the "this is actively destroying my brain while I watch it" sense.

I still maintain the first seasons are actually pretty good and interesting. It is a good concept for a show. But people latched onto the trashier couples, and TLC was happy to just go down that route.

By season 3 or 4, every couple had just become attention seekers and TLC was doing their hardest to create as much drama as they could. I dropped off the show when it became so fake it was impossible to believe the storylines.

It's funny. And conflict is inherently entertaining.

It's no different from other vices that are destructive but we indulge in limited quantities for pleasure: junk food, alcohol, etc.

It's also somewhat unique from other trash TV in that you see different countries around the world depending on the couple. So there's a travel show element to it that makes it interesting. I'm Iranian and it's not often mainstram American TV takes place in the Middle East.

Yes, it's awful. There's been a few people that seemed nice on it but a lot of the relationships are pretty toxic.

I don't know how much of a shelf life it has now though given the current situation in the US (at least for the non-white relationships)

s1 is almost a whole different show because the tone is so different. its kinda wild.
