dude wtf. That's not even a TV show anymore. this is like, 1/3 the MCU crammed into a "season".

If they had 19 hours of content to cover, why not just do 19 episodes? That's still less than TV shows used to be.

Those all seem to be very specific multiples of 5 min each.

Im a bit skeptical this is 100% true. Although Im sure episodes will likely clock in at least similar to S4 length with the finale maybe being 2-3 hrs.

I mean, Im not going to argue this will be as good as andor is but this is basically what Andor was, with each movie arbitrarily divided into 45 minute chunks

It wasnt even that long ago that 20 hours of TV was the norm for a season of a drama

I am, its one of the best shows of the past decade. If anything, Ill skip the first 3 episodes of season 3, and jump right into The Sauna Test.

I thought the same thing was going to happen to season 4, but I ended up being hooked the whole time. If anything, you can pause it yourself and come back whenever.

Quality isnt correlated with quantity first off. If the episodes truly earn runtimes of 2+ hours, then great. I dont think there will be many complaints. Season 4 kinda has me skeptical on that tbh

Second, it does just kinda suck as a viewing experience when Ive got an hour or so of spare time a night and dont always have time to watch a movie. Im definitely gonna have to pause and split sessions into 2

People get paid per episode. What Im skeptic about is how do they managed to deliver high quality epic tv for such a big run time. Thats a shitload of special effects thus a lot of money.

Id guess 90 minutes for most with a couple 2s and then a 2.5 finale though

I thought it was an actor, but that was just my memory being shitty. It was one of the show creators who said the episodes would be like movies.

I don't buy it. The runtimes all end on either the 0 or 5th minute. That's way too precise for massive, movie length runtimes. And I doubt that we're going to get all 8 episodes being that long, especially the last one with a whopping 3 hours long. I need more confirmation, if I'm going to believe this.
