First up, they have officially announced that they have been greenlit for a 5th (final) season of Vox Machina, meaning we have 2 full animated seasons to go of this adventuring group. Hopefully this allows them to squeeze in some of the one-shots (Search for Grog/Bob and The wedding)

Then, Some footage from their Mighty Nein series was revealed, with Travis announcing that it would air this year - Nov 19th! And unlike Vox Machina, the episodes will be an hour long

Now, over the last couple of months (On their "Fireside Chat"s), they have been mentioning that the Mighty Nein's story will be getting some big changes in order to make things more streamlined, since the original would've been too chaotic for an actual TV series. So we will have to wait and see just how much gets moved around/cut

This is really really good news for a lot of my friends, because they are huge Critical Role fans. I just watched the 3 season of Vox Machina and it was overall a very solid show. Can't wait to watch more of their stuff.

iirc, it's a joke on one character using a German accent
coupled with how they rolled a bunch of 9 on ther dice for a session or two

I heard that game is going to be made by some ex-devs from Telltale games. This is a very big year for Critical Role.

"Zemnian", but yes, one of the characters speaks with a very strong German accent.

The actual background for their group name comes from their tabletop sessions. Every time Liam (the actor playing Caleb) rolled the dice and it landed on a nine, he would say "Nein". Eventually this spread until every other member at the table started shouting it, and when it came time to name the group, it stuck
