A real shame. I didn't find out about his content until a similiar situation happened to me at a gym I used to go to. My coworker was obese and I took him to the gym to show him how to use the machines with the right form and stuff, and then I noticed a guy recording him with his phone. I told him to please not record him (because I know my coworker doesn't feel comfortable about being recorded/pictures taken) and the guy went, "Nah, I don't think so.". I asked him again and he went "We're allowed to record in this gym, so how about you shut the fuck up, sit down, and mind your own business bitch." (most likely went douche mode because he was with 5 other guys that could probably beat me up or something). Told the workers about the situation and when they confronted him about it (you're allowed to record in that gym, but you have to do so responsibly per the TOS) so he started acting the fool and made a scene. They eventually had to call the police on him to be escorted out or he would be illegally trespassing. As him and the five other guys walked out, he yelled in my direction and said "You fucking punk ass snitch!"

I'm so sorry this happened to your friend. I honestly think gyms should ban filming.

That's why when I see someone filming in the gym, I like to do the Gangnam style dance in the background. If you want a video with nobody dancing in the background, go film in private - the gym is a public space, and I can do whatever the fuck I want.

If someone complains me ruining their video, I've always wondered if I could get away with "accidentally" dropping a weight plate on their phone...
