Because until the recent polls, it was assumed that you could beat Mamdani in a head-to-head or by tearing him down. That seems less likely with each day. There might be some bombshells still out there, but his coalition looks extremely vast. And this is the kind of granular polling that I love.

I don't think anyone in my neighborhood would want to admit that Mamdani will win a plurality, if not a majority, of Jewish voters.

Strangely enough, the Hasidic Jews that live in that area are largely part of the Satmar sect, and they're very strongly *opposed* to Zionism. They think that Jews, by creating the state of Israel themselves, actually violated a commandment of the Bible to wait for the Messiah, and in fact, they think the state of Israel is *preventing* the coming of the Messiah. Not even Zohran Mamdani goes that far, lmfao (and in fact he's nowhere close)

This shouldn't be surprising. Jewish people, at least in my experience, tend to be pretty left and rather anti-fascist to a pretty extreme degree. Some had a blind spot for Israel for a long time but those days are pretty damn over.

To be fair to that tweet, Adams is currently trying to get Cuomo and Sliwa to drop out so that the anti-Mamdani vote unifies behind him; he's not concerned with his direct polling against Mamdani at the moment since obviously he can't beat Mamdani while the moderate/conservative vote is still split three ways.

Nevertheless the average person won't know that so the screenshot just comes off massively embarassing.
