As in physically?

Supermarket, mall, park etc where your were separated from the one looking after you and had to stay put or have a tannoy announcement so someone knew where to find you?

I got lost in a store with 3 aisles, lmao. I was pretty young, though.

There was a time as a kid where two of my step brothers and I were camping at a lake and we were on some inflatable raft. The wind picked up and blew the three of us to the other side of the lake.

On of my step brothers lost his shoes in the muddy beach, so the other two of us walked back to camp to get my dad to help. It took like 5 hours to walk back. But I don't think our parents were worried at all. They just thought we were hanging around the lake

No but my youngest brother got lost in disneyland for less than an 1hour without us. He also got lost in our county fair. This happened when he was under 10 yrs old i think. Hes young when these happned

That feeling in that time of losing him sent me in a panic. It was Probably worse with my mom. In them times he got lost he was crying because mom yelled at him, not because he was lost.

Youngest brother is a twin brother. He was dead for 30min when he was in kindergarden. Drowned in a pool. After that he says he see things and went to them. Hes in his late 30s now and just started talking about it.

When he drowned, he was trying to get his toy. He couldnt swim so he drank all the water he could. He relented that confession and we laughed at him. Mom said his belly was so big from the water. They took him in the ambulance and mom took his twin. They held his hand to the hospital. He said he doesnt know what happened after trying to get the toy.

When he was lost in disneyland, he said he was following someone he thought he knew.

When he got lost in a county fair, he said again he felt he was following someone he knew through the crowd. This time they were outpacing him so he had to almost run. When he got to where he thought they were, they been gone. Thats when he started asking for us. He cried alot... bcause mom would give every worry and scare him.

We drink. We always want to hear how he drowned and how he got lost when he was a child.

On the 97 acres of heavily wooded land I live on...multiple times

Wouldn't call it lost, but a couple of times someone had to announce that people are trying to find me or to come get me.

Probably because I would sneak off and get into shit and the workers were tired of it.

Yup, that was the worst. At least when I was a bit older I had my GameBoy to keep me busy, but still annoying.

at the beach a few times. rip currents pull you out and longshore currents push you down the beach, i remember at least one time being dragged like a mile down the beach. mom got a life guard to start bellowing over a megaphone to find me.

Oh yeah I think every kid had that instinct to hide in there. My mom would just check on us but she knew where we were hiding.

i don't have any memory of getting lost as a kid ever, but i have been left places by accident by my parents.

Once at Dollywood for about an hour. It was my fault, mom said we'd go to the magic shop before we left, but I wanted to go now lol

I've gotten way more lost in adulthood while on my own.

I wasnt lost as a kid but they thought I was went to my favorite hiding spot and fell asleep

As a college student I got mildly lost while hiking but its east coast where youre never that far from a road.

I'm pretty sure everybody who grew up in the 80's and 90's did this.

I loved to hide in the middle of those circular clothe racks. Sometimes my mom would just walk away.

A few times in the store when I was a kid, probably 4 or 5 years old at the time.

I don't think so, but my mom sure seemed to think I was lost inside Wal-Mart a few times.

Oh yeah, I even briefly made it on the news. Happened in 2nd grade.

I stayed in the library too long after school playing Oregon Trail and missed my bus, and when I went in the office no one was there, so I decided to walk home. It wasn't that far and I knew the route, so it should have been easy, but I chose to take a "shortcut" and ended up hopping a fence and going off base.

I wandered around and had enough knowledge from driving around with the family to get to various places so I went to the mall. Eventually ended up walking up to one of the gates to the base, specifically the closest to our house, at like 9PM, and as I got close a cop rolled up and that was the end of my little adventure.

That cop was a dick though, for some reason he told my parents I had a map on me and that convinced them I was planning to run away. I didn't have a map but they didn't believe me.

Very briefly. I was really young, playing in the playpen of a McDonald's, and somehow even though my parents were in the building, I got confused and saw another family get up and leave, so I followed them to their car. The family looked back at me with confusion and then my dad (or mom?) picked me up.

It's one of my few vivid toddler memories.
