If youre in this lane you must take the exit. Just in case you missed it, heres another sign saying exit only. But hey, we know reading is hard, so heres some arrows on the road to tell you this is an exit only lane. Alright, are you ready to exit?

Some doofus: OH SHIT! swerves into traffic at the last second to not take the exit

How can you expect him to see all the exit only signs while he's texting?

The only thing worst is the doofus that does not want to enter the exit lane until the last second. Now when they want to enter, the exit lane is backed up. So they want to slowdown or break check a lane that is supposed to keep moving on the highway while trying to get someone to let them in.

Bonus points to the person that does this from the fast lane on the far lane away from the exit last second.

I can at least understand how there's an non-zero possibility of not knowing until the last second.

The part I don't understand is the part where said doofus decides the forty seconds lost by going up the offramp and back down the onramp are important enough to just blindly and abruptly swerve into another lane and probably kill like eight people.

There was construction near my work site, and it had one of the lanes of the interstate closed. For like a full mile beforehand it was constant signs of "left lane closed" "merge right" "construction ahead" "stay right" with other signs with arrows pointing and saying to merge right.

Does anyone get in the right lane? No. They speed past everyone in the left lane until the last second where the lane is physically blocked off by barrels, then try to swerve into the correct lane like maniacs. It was incredibly frustrating.

Fortunately now the lane is open, but the speed limit is still reduced for the construction zone, but slowing down risks an accident because no one else slows down. I get passed like crazy if I slow down. >_>

Here we go

Just last week in the ER we had a mass casualty because some asshole did the very thing I described in the OP and cut off what I think was a church van with a ton of kids. Multiple children were in critical condition. Im not sure what happened to them. I was off that day but I heard all about it and saw the wreck on the news

Used to do trucking and I could go on a three day tangent about stupid drivers that cause my blood pressure to hit critical limits.

Also picked up the talent to immediately spot drivers that are on their phones. Doesn't matter how good you think you are at hiding it, there's always a slight tell.
