There are changes with Orphie and Seed that have some people upset it seems. Sounds like Orphie is mostly off field and Seed is the main DPS?

Orphie was always off-field but I have no idea what's going on with Seed. She wants to be played with two Attackers and buffs both but takes up most of the field time so it's really only Orphie that works with her? They removed her aftershocks? Idk I'm not following it super close but sounds like a mess.

I am struggling to get a 2 star on the second DA boss. I used Yixuan/Pan/Nicole for the first one and Burnice/Jane/Caesar for the third one, but I dunno what to use to improve my score on the second and Alice probably wont be out/built up before it swaps to a new cycle

Who are you using on the phys weak boss if you're using Jane on Pompey? If you pulled Yuzuha you can put her with Jane there and use Evelyn/Caesar for Fire. And whatever other buffers you have for them like Seth and Lucy or whatever. Not sure if Burnice is an improvement for either since 2nd boss resists fire.

or do you not have yuzuha since you're not using her with Jane/Burnice? in that case nevermind

I have Yuzuha so I probably should try Jane with her for the second boss, but I dunno if Ive ever gotten 2 stars against Pompey without Jane yet either. Her dodging helps when youre bad :(

Also I just brute forced the 2nd DA fight with S Anby, Pulchra and Trigger to get 2 stars my first try. Dont think I got any of the bonus points from the fight at all either since I stunned it so much it only did the weird aiming at miasma thing once.

It only ever does it once even with an anomaly teams, but that's all you need to max the bonus points

Oh ok guess I read it wrong. Just glad I got to 6 stars in time

Tested against the Lhys/Elec weak boss at the end of Shiyu and Jane + Alice was faster than Yanagi + Alice, so I guess the viability is indeed still there

Praise be, I won the 50/50 and barely managed to bring home Alice and her W-Engine. Had to keep Spook Shack together!

My resources are totally drained now though so I might actually end up skipping both of the Obol Squad girls just so I can recover for whatever comes after them.

I kind of want to pull Yanagi but I feel pretty foolish pulling a rerun dps when we don't even know what's coming in 2.3 yet so I'm trying to hold off until then.

I ended up getting Yuzuha in a few not-too-committed attempts. I'll just sit out Alice's banner for now and hope for these Jane improvements.

I honestly feel the lack of Yanagi. My only truly reliable Elec is Rina. On the other hand, my Anomaly is plentiful.

Welp I lost the coinflip to M1 Koleda and then it took 70-80 tapes to get Alice so Ive got 5 left not counting shop stuff saved up. Damn you Koleda

Maybe if I waited til 8/8 Alice wouldve blessed me instead of that coin flip failing

Well, managed to win the 50/50 and get Alice, but cost almost 90 tapes for the pleasure. Really want Yanagi, but dunno if I can risk going for her. Bah.

Finished getting to 30 on the timed tower which is all that matters.

11-20 was much harder than 21-30.

Oh never mind I did have the right material for Alice. Not sure what W-Engine to give her since Im not pulling for her signature, but I got her to lv60 Core F. Prydwen suggests going Fanged Metal with either Phaethons Melody or Puffer Electro instead of using Fanged Metal and Hormone Punk together

Weeping Gemini is fine for Alice unless you have Graces.

I do have Graces and she doesnt get any use since shes got no Ms and isnt too great sadly. Guess Ill throw that on Alice

It's the best bang for your buck at the Wengine shop for sure, I have 3 copies maxed out. Saving the rest of my shop materials for an eventual shop update, though.

But I put Graces on Alice, yeah.

I like to keep my sigs on that character even if I dont use them just to be tidy. If I get a spare though, itll go on one of my other guys.

That said, I have their sig for everyone except Vivian, Alice and Jane and Jane has the season pass W-Engine.

Jesus christ Alice/Yuzuha/Vivian is a fun team to play. Love constantly cancelling super long animations to manage resources and just watching everything explode while Alice aura farms. Took basically everything I had but I'm super glad I went in on her.

Oh no I got good enough scores on DA 1 and 3, but Butcher has an Anomaly bonus and Ive got no Ice/Ether of that to use on him. Trying Yixuan/Pan/Nicole to see if I can hopefully get 2 stars otherwise I gotta try to improve my score with Alice/Yuzuha/Jane

Notorious Butcher specifically wants a disorder bonus. You should probably split your two phys anomalies up instead of using them on the same team. Play one with Burnice vs Butcher and the other as a hypercarry against Fiend.

Never mind I just got 3 stars using goddesses Jane/Alice/Yuzuha so its fine I only got 1 star on Butcher :)

You could always try for her on rerun. The fact she works very well combined with Jane and Yuzuha is nice since Alice has her own separate special anomaly thing

New Isolde Hopium

The "Corrupted Isolde" from the files added a while back looks to have been a doppleganger form like Jane, Pulchra, etc, rather than that Red Ethereal Boss. While not a guarantee that she's going to be playable (that big Orangutan exists after all), it does make it much more likely.

I've caught up pretty well on this patch's stuff. Even got my weeklies done yesterday.

Do you know how weird it feels to be skipping 3 new character banners in a row in this game? This has not happened to me since launch when I lost 50/50 on Ellen and then saved up for all the Calydon characters. Only patch I didnt a new 5* was the one with SAnby, and I still tried pulling her.

But also I'm getting 100k scores in DA so it's not like I need to pull. I appreciate this game being so chill compared to other hoyo games that practically put a gun to your head to make you pull but like. hello??? what am I supposed to be doing here lmao

I thought I didn't care at all about Alice when her drip came out but now she's one of my favorite characters in the game so I feel like I need to reserve comments until I see Seed and Orphie get actually highlighted in the story

But right now yeah I'm feeling very safe skipping both of them - even as a SAnby user they don't seem essential by any stretch and even then I'm not really sure how they're supposed to plug together. I'm sure it'll end up being something worthwhile but my account is established/comfy enough at this point that I only need to pull characters I really love (though ZZZ is batting a thousand on making lovable characters so that doesn't make it easier most of the time!)

Do We think the Obol Bangboo is gonna be good for SAnby Trigger as well? Been trying to avoid pulling on Plugboo dupes.

Well, I did it - decided I wanted Yanagi and lucked out on the 50/50. Very glad to have her since I was very bummed to miss her the first time but I am completely and utterly drained of tapes now. Skipping next patch isn't even optional anymore unless I want to go full gambler and remain destitute lmao

This seems like a pretty fine patch to skip though so I'm not worried, time to at long last replenish my resources!

I did 30 pulls on Yanagi figuring that if I get her in less than 30, then nice. But I didn't, so I think, once again, she's going to allude me. Maybe for the second anniversary they'll let us pick a year 1 unit or something and I can get her then.
