This was my biggest issue with the game. It desperately needs a sell/disassemble all button.

I didn't know i could disassemble the guns to save space and still get something out of it.

It was just a mess and I didn't have access to fast travel. I had a 30 pound iconic hammer on me as well and like 80 pounds of clothes i wanted to put in my stash.

I disassembled and it was better and I finally got normal access to Dog Town.

I'll often roleplay some scenario or add a minor challenge to a trivial task for fun. I use the fast travel sometimes, but I'm more likely to walk 2 kilometers just to see what happens.

I only use the katana, so no arm implants. I don't have any of the dashing or double-jumping stuff. Body is 15 so Im stongk. Reflexes at 19 about to be 20. Gonna raise tech to 9 and get the +10% cyberware stat perk, then idk. Maybe cool or body to 20.

I had the game on hard the entire time, and I've never found it too challenging. It's pretty easy. It got hard when I didn't allocate my first 9 stat points, eventually, but that was just me.

I don't wanna rush through the game so I'm trying to do the interesting side missions. I'm also trying not to just to the Police Scanner missions, even though they are really fun.

Honestly I just got to the DLC and I'm kinda ready to wrap up the game though. I did a lot of side quests including those for Panam and Takemura + misc characters, and I'm at a high enough level where I can Memory Wipe + Reboot Implants + Sonic Shock -> System Collapse alternating combo to no diff most combat situations.

I'd recommend getting Gorilla Arms.

They're the only ones that come with a passive, that being a bonus to Body checks (like doors, possibly conversational but I'm not sure).

Get the Tier Five ones and it'll bump you right to twenty and you'll be able to open everything.

Also, grab Adrenaline Rush/its perks and use the Biomonitor in your Circulatory cyberware. Your durability and survivability with skyrocket.

And just about everyone recommends getting Tech to 20, Edgerunner is just too great to pass up.

It's on sale now, I would grab it if you can play it now. It's $38.62 for the game and the DLC. $21 for just the game. I'm pretty sure this is the lowest it's been in ever.

I feel that I should stress that although the base game has come leaps and bounds and is in a great state right now, Phantom Liberty is really where it's at. It's such a leap over even 2.0 that if the sequel is anywhere near that good it'll be one of the GOATs.

I think the base game is fantastic.

IDK how anyone could complain about the writing or the acting; it's phenomenal.

I was worried that it would just be some corpo slop using the term "cyberpunk" but they actually understand Gibson, Shadowrun, and the genre.

They also made, hands down, the most interesting open world to explore. They took the best parts of Fallout and GTA and improved on both of those games. I could walk around Night City all day and they'll be no end to the interesting urban architecture and neon lights.

Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the Cyberpunk TTRPG, was pretty involved with the game to the point that it's considered canon to the TTRPG. Johnny Silverhand isn't just a character written for Keanu Reeves, he was first introduced in 1988....which is why he used to look like this.

The bombing of Arasaka Tower which is referenced heavily throughout the game is actually a playable campaign module.

And Adam Smasher is basically the GM's way of saying "okay, we need to end the campaign, so I'm going to kill you all."

It seems like $40 is kind of high? I swear I got the game for like $15 or something.

I think I actually spent $20 and it was before the DLC came out, so that checks out. I was enjoying it but got distracted and need to check it out again someday. It was really fun.

she doesn't really dance as much as she holds up her hands sorta. kinda "goth" dancing.

this is absolutely 100% my favorite game of all time, btw. 60 hours in.

I wish the romance had a little more going on, but I can use my imagination. I have some questions but they are spoilers and it's not super important I get the answers right this second. It seems like that wanted to have more stuff in the romance side, but ran out of dev time. I could see the quests getting more dialogue in the future, tbh.

Anyway, so many dating sims focus so much on things up until you get laid and then there is nothing and that's just not realistic at all. I'd like to see a game that doesn't make sex into the ultimate conquest quest and instead it's like the start of the journey and you have to figure out how to have better sex or can actually do date stuff like street racing or mountain climbing or w/e.

Claire's in mourning, she's not looking for that.

But one nice thing is that with the exception of the gender-based division, no romance locks you out of another.

There's nothing preventing you from hooking up with everyone who offers while having both romance options going at once.

Oooo okay nice! I don't mind the gender restrictions on romance in this game, as they kinda give you a reason to play more than once and they have queer and "straight" options. edit: nah, i kinda mind them. it'd be better if there were 8 options instead of 4.

I'm gonna claim both male and female V as bisexual icons, but of course you could play them however you want.

A lot of those mods look cool, but the one I would really want isn't updated for 2.3 apparently. Was looking at the Romance Hangouts Enhanced that makes dates have more things going on.

Yeah, I like the idea of characters having set sexualities, but if you're going to do that, you need more than one option for each mainline sexuality.

My other complaint is that the male romance options very clearly did not get as much work as Judy and Panam. They're both found in optional content and I'm pretty sure their scenes play out mostly identically even if they're not into your gender. I never got the sense Judy was into me, but queerbaiting River flirts with male V so much he may as well be wearing assless chaps.

Kerry is also canonically bisexual, but they just decided to make him the gay option.

Yea, I agree it feels like laziness. Like Judy sits on the pool table...for no reason. It's obvious they wanted to have some cuddle interactions there, but it's just nothing.

It's not even just romance, like, why can't I train on the heavy bag?

I never played before 2.3, which came out a few months ago, so I'll probably continue this playthrough without any romance mods cause I don't wanna downgrade to 2.1 or something and glitch my save. If they update to 2.3 I'll probably install more conversations and stuff for Judy.

Playing as mV is going to be wild. I can't imagine fV not being V, like, at all. I never played male Shep in Mass Effect, but this game makes me want to play both.

From what I've seen people say and clips I've seen of FemV, she's a lot more emotive than male V. Male V isn't exactly monotone, but he's a lot more deadpan.

I think I'd find male V very hard to buy as a Corpo and I don't even think he really fits a Nomad. Feel like his voice is Streetkid to a T.

It's intentional.

SheV was told specifically by the vocal directors to go fiery and passionate, while HeV was told to go more "Broken Ace" and world-weary.

Sort of like HeV is "fuck this" while SheV is more directly "fuck you" about everything.

That one's intentional and makes a decent bit of sense. About half the relationship is Kerry dealing with his survivor's guilt and lingering feelings for Johnny, it's a character-and-backstory-exploration sort of thing. Plus, it seems fairly certain that he's canonically bi but with a preference for men, especially romantically. It's a lot in how he talks about his ex-wife.

Cyberploink was at one time 5 dollars. It was for the physical PS4 version and an included free ps5 update.

That was the best time to buy. Worst time to play -- but best time to buy.
