It's an amazing third-person action/driving game but a terrible open world sandbox game especially compared to SR1 and 2. The actual story and missions are memorable and entertaining but Steelport always felt so boring and lifeless. Ironically the SR reboot has the opposite problem. It has the best, most well-designed setting in the entire series but the story and missions are boring and mid.

I was introduced to the series with 2. Loved that, after adjusting loved 4. But could not get into 3 (or 1).

Yes but it was a disappointing like. It was fun enough and I still enjoyed the game while simultaneously being a notable step down from Saints Row 2 in most ways.

I actually played Saints Row IV prior, therefore leading to this one not wowing me as much...but I didn't have an overall bad time with it.

I am very split on if I like SR2 more than SR3 (I like SR4 but it is not in the running for best).

SR2 is slightly more grounded, but still silly, so there is something to the characters.

SR3 (imo) has better graphics and controls, it feels very distinct as a game.

I didn't play too much of it but I enjoyed the couple hours that I did.

After playing SR4, tho, I was apprehensive to go back to SR3 because I felt it'd feel too slow paced. Which nothing wrong with that but being in the same exact locale... just not got around to going back even though it has been 11 years since I 100%d SR4

First bump

2 was peak but 3 was a lot of fun. Played the entire game co-op with a friend. Had a blast and a lot of laughs. As zany as 3 was it was the last one that felt someone a hair grounded before it went completely off the rails.

It has no hope of being better than Saints Row 2, but, yes, I do like the game.

It was my first Saints Row game. Had a blast playing it.

I like 2/3/4 pretty equally, but in different ways. Two is (relatively) grounded street warfare, The Third goes over the top and does a pisstake on the genre, and Four goes full-on 'GTA meets Prototype/Infamous'

No, it marked the beginning of the downfall of the series. Ditched its dark tones for over the top wackiness
