Even if there's no reason to do so

I'm not opposed to spending my money for equipment upgrades. The problem I have is often I'm always afraid of buying new equipment in town and then the very next area finding better equipment in loot so I'm always a little hesitant but yeah I will spend my money fairly freely. Because by and large most games I have ever played there is always a way to make more money and at some point quite a bit of it.

So while I don't hoard money I hoard items like a mofo. Money can be made. Items often can't be obtained or are limited.

Yes. As well as armor, weapons, resources, etc.

just because i had to use two barbarians in bg3 to hold all my gold and special items/equipment that i will totally use doesn't mean i have a hoarding problem

Yes, because earning big amounts of digital currency tickles my brain's happy spots. Moreso if there's some kind of audio/visual flair. But if spending is an important part, I won't hoard. Like, I'm playing Dave the Diver, and you're expected to spend your money on upgrades so you can hunt more/better fish for your restaurant to earn more money with.

Depends on the game. Some you have to hoard. Others you can spend freely cause the money flows like water. All video game economies aren't built the same so it really just depends.

Not just money, it's everything.

I like having the stuff... you come across an item that is way out of your budget. So you start saving up, finding other cool things along the way, and then you forget what you were saving up for.

And *then* you forget that you were saving up, and end up with way more money than you could reasonably use the rest of the way.

I have no problem with spending money when I need or want to get something, but usually I also want to max out that money at some point.

I spend all the money on weapon/equipment upgrades, but am a complete Scrooge when it comes to items/consumables.

So, it depends on the game. If my equipment is mostly obtained in shops, I'm chronically short on money. If it's mostly obtained as treasure or enemy drops, however, then I usually have so much money that I eventually do start buying consumables just to avoid maxing out.

no. i sell basically everything i come across, then use that money for repairs/upgrades

Nah, kicked that habit. Resources are there to be used. Embrace it!

Nah, I just go with the flow. If resources are flowing relatively freely I'll loosen the purse strings and if they aren't I'll usually hoard and spend resources very tactically.

No. I'll save for a goal, but the point of money is to spend it.

I guess, but recently a lot of rpgs I've played money becomes useless quick
