Superboy (the Conner Kent version) is rather infamously Lex's attempt to create a Superman clone, but there were gaps in the DNA they had which he filled in with his own DNA. He's made two clones, as far as I'm aware, and one is Superboy which has his own DNA added in. As for THIS clone, it's most likely a setup for Bizarro. He's being sent into a black hole where his body will be mutated and broken apart. He was considered stupid and that's most likely a clear sign that he's going to be Bizarro.
