This constant glazing of Shakuyaku is baffling. She is the only person in the series to my knowledge with a confirmed win over Roger (due to him being too enamoured with her to properly fight back, but whatever) and even stoic characters with no previous interest in ladies like Whitebeard are head over heels for her. No idea why she suddenly decided to abandon her own people. Also, I wonder if her falling for Rayleigh had anything to do with love sickness or not.

Lastly, really hope her getting kidnapped or something isn't the cause of the God Valley incident. It just would feel like making lite of what is supposed to be a very serious incident where slaves were killed for sport and Rocks being defeated and killed.

Shaky don't even got mellow mellow fruit.

If Shakky is so beautiful that every single individual falls in love with her wouldn't it make sense for the Celestial Dragons to make her the prize for their hunt if they couldn't decide who would take her?

We know Rocks isn't a complete shitbag to people he considers friends so it makes sense he'd go after Shakky if she was kidnapped.

The only issue is Roger, but we know he's infatuated with her so it makes sense he'd go after her.

Rocks and Roger fighting would just be a side effect of both of them trying to save her.

If they are fighting to save Shakky, it would make sense for them to join forces at least initially as Garp regrets the God Valley incident for having to defend the Celestial Dragons + Slaves (as in keep them slaves) and would be forced on the same side of those wanting to keep Shakky captive. Also we still don't know why Garling got glazed (seem to be using this word too much) for his role.

It just doesn't fit nicely together. Guess we won't have a complete picture until God Valley is explained.

Are we still technically in Loki's flashback? I just can't be bothered to care about this stuff at all given we're so late in the game and nearly everyone on page is dead, made irrelevant by past arcs, or only just now being shown for the first time.

You're also not factoring in the possibility that Rocks gets hit with Imu's ability which would then explain why him, Roger, and Garp are all fighting.

I mean the dragon fruit and paw paw fruit being the reasons for their fight aren't much better. We know the they're both on the island is because Ginny leaked the location of the prizes and Garp's there because Roger is there.

So if Rocks gets hit with Imu's ability and starts killing indiscriminately, Roger and Garp would have no choice but to team and kill him

It's all pretty important establishment for what pillars started to crack for the world government. Their hedonism, hubris, and cruelty catching up to them after hundreds of years and the wheels beginning to spin in Roger and Rock's era gives a lot of context to present day story stuff.

Is there any evidence IMU had anything to do with God Valley? I get wanting Rocks dead, although someone like Rocks with insane haki can be argued to be immune to such a power.

It's kinda jarring the difference in Kuma's recent flashback in the anime and this awkward exposition dump. Really feels like it should've been put it some art book as a side story.

one piece in general is bad with time do to odas obsession with countdown clock of doom story telling

so many arcs have "only 2 minutes untill DOOOM" then 100s of events happen in that time span

It's kind of funny that this fairly minor character we met like 13+ years ago had such a large influence in foundational events for the series.

I really doubt that is the case. Imu wasn't even sure Lili betrayed the other twenty founders of the World Government until Cobra confirmed this. Plus if Lili had lived, she probably would have told her younger brother that she was alright in letter form or something even if she did have to go into hiding.

Granted, as for why Imu is interested in Lili and Vivi, IDK. We don't really know enough about IMU at this point to get reasonable answers. Of course, considering Imu's voice sounds feminine, one theory floating around is Nerona Imu body swapped with Lily for whatever reason (maybe she was already immortal thanks to Law's fruit). As for why. I couldn't say.

At the very least I think that Imu was in love with her hence the picture on the wall and Vivi's non knifed photo.. Don't think it was the whole thing, i think she had been secretly working against hjm with joyboy for a while as a secret "D", bit i think Imu feeling Joyboy stole her heart and mind from him made the war that much more personal for him.

And he wants Vivi as a replacement and will be super angry history repeats as she chooses to align with "Straw Hat" Luffy.

not sure if it's Viz or TCB being wrong, but TCB called her "the crown jewel" of hachinosu, same terminology used when Garp said the Celestial Dragons stole the "crown jewel" and that's why Rocks went to God Valley

Well in the official translation they say she's a treasure and what is treasure if it isn't stolen. Seeing as how God Valley happened because the world government stole the crown jewel of pirate island, people are just connecting the dots.

When Imu uses reversi on Dorry and Brogy they start attacking the other giants a couple chapters back. I'm just guessing Imu gets involved in this somehow and uses it on Rocks which is what causes Garp and Roger to team up

The powerscalers of the fandom have got to stop taking silly gags like this seriously. While some fans (no doubt the everything is serious business even in one piece types. I see them all the time on reddit, and of course on the actual separate one piece powerscaling subreddit) is actually getting angry that this one lady dares to get a win (allegedly. Everyone was too lovestruck to actually harm her, and so she just loots them and peaces out) over the super hairy-assed badass awesomesauce he can beat up your favorite shonen character/goku gol d roger, oda is giggling like the ol' clown that he from making these hardened criminals in their youth have looney tunes hearts pop out of their eyes and chests for this in-universe drop dead pirate idol sexy lady, lol.

You know, now that I have thought about it more, when Loki went to the castle in a different flashback, we saw a silhouette of Harald seemingly in a demon form (right before Loki kills him, although not out of hate as Loki said). Referring to this which can be seen on Harald's page on the wikia...

So it does seem like Imu (can't be anyone else) is capable of corrupting someone even as strong as Harald. Considering Harald seemed to be on a similar level to Rocks... I guess it is possible Imu could corrupt Rocks.

Considering Rocks seemed to be leading Whitebeard/Kaido/Big Mom into battle against Roger/Garp, I still don't think that Imu turned Rocks into a demon or anything. Considering the God Knights are at God Valley though, it is possible and maybe even likely Imu possessed one of then to influence events in other ways.

I think that at worst, shakky might cause a silly brawl between rocks pirates, gol d roger pirates, and possibly some cypher pol goons with the goons being the people that will ultimately swipe her up (and causing possibly a rayleigh rescue with him finally being the one to win her affections here?), but the genuine reason for the god valley battle is still going to be because of rocks' king of the world plan.

Hell I don't even think harald is actually going to attempt to fight rocks for real.......there is a huge chance that like usual, the world government higher ups is going to do something colossally stupid and that will cause rocks and harald to unite. (But in the confusion, both of them will end up getting picked off).

Calling it now though shakky and the jewel treasure comment is a red herring lol

Indeed. The Domi Reversi from IMU looks like a gigantic threat. Can't get between two demons or you become one, demons regenerate damage/are functionally immortal + are a lot bigger...and there is no info if it is even reversible or not. That's not counting all the dream monsters + thorn guy's stuff. How this force can be effectively fought remains to be seen...

And Luffy vs the IMU possessing Gunko should be good.
