I get that due to how it's produced, it will taste off if you didn't grow up with it. That's fine. Root Beer has a similar phenomenon: people who didn't grow up with it say that it tastes like medicine. However, those of us who grew up with it enjoy the unique flavor. If I want cheap chocolate, I'll get some Moser Roth from Aldi. They run about $3 for five 25g (0.88oz) bars.
