Newsom or his PR team know what they are doing. Fox attacked his "messages" as childish when all he did was copy a Trump post.

I've been seeing this joke float around TikTok that's going like "Gavin Newsome hates poor people and Republicans, and he's all out of poor people" and it made me laugh.

As far as is this the key to trump opposition? I dunno I guess we'll see, I'm glad to see someone taking a different approach and actually trying to combat him so for all my misgivings on Newsome he's stepping up when it matters.

Trump opposition is swaying his followers, not trolling for the people who already agree.

Math says you're wrong. People losing their livelihoods to his policies or who were conspiracy devotees are breaking ranks-- but they won't turn and vote for a party that only mocks them.

hillary was never going to win. hillary has been enemy number 1 in the republicans eyes since she worked a shadow cabinet position during bills term. the republican party spent decades building momentum against her, it wasn't just bengazi.

the magic that obama had was that he was young and wasn't an asshole. republicans didn't have near the same amount of shit to throw against him and he didn't have the shadow of being a "nasty woman" riding over him like hillary has had.

It's like 3.3 years from the next general election and Democrats have a historically low internal approval rating. The goal right now is to get people ready to fight again. There is a time and place for these different steps

in 2024 the Trump campaign was able to selectively show Kamala pro-Israel ads to pro-Palestine people and Kamala pro-Palestine ads to pro-Israel people, in the same Michigan city on the same platform (TikTok). We live in the era of atomization. Yes, this stuff is possible, and it works. The concern about the wrong audience receiving the message is totally dwarfed by people's ability to curatedly send messages to the correct target audience in the first place.

It's better than the "Republicans are our friends. We need bipartisanship and a strong Republican party" and all the other crap Democrats did that absolutely did not work and is partly why we are here now.

Same for when Kamala was calling them weird, but of course that got stopped quickly by out of touch Democratic party advisors or consultants who still use the political playbook from the previous century and has ceased working a long time ago.
