He NA one is amazing. Kirby being so powerful he starts sucking up the background is genius.

They both look "off model" based on Kirby's modern appearance and it's breaking my brain.

But the sucking up the background is pretty novel, and more clever than I'd expect.

Agreed, that's clever. Reminds me of the part in Triple Deluxe where you suck up a boss's HP display and then eat the boss whole. The Hypernova sections had some funny moments.

They could have easily done this to the American cover so I guess we should applaud them for not doing it

NA is more impactful and still shows off one of Kirby's key features.

tough one for me, i love that game and KA is, imo, the best NES game. I'm leaning towards JP because it,s cuter and kirby looks less weird

Anyway, while I do like that you see some of his abilities in the JPN one, I feel like Kirby eating something that doesn't make sense (the... world, I guess?) in the NA one is also an important part of the character/property, and it's also just a lot more visually appealing.

The JP one looks like it was stretched horizontally and is using a lopsided aspect ratio. Very sloppy.

Neither box art is hardcore enough for my manly tastes, but I always thought it was inconsiderate of NA Kirby to be eating the box. Probably lowered the resale value by quite a bit.

Probably the only non-angry Kirby from NA.

....But I like the JP one more because it kinda shows more of what's happening with the types of Kirbys there. The NA one is fine but it just shows him eating. The JP one atleast tells you that there's different types and expectations of him once you play. It even shows a gunner kirby which tips off the minigame it belongs to.

This has got to be one of the closer ones for me, even though the poll clearly shows a winner. I think it's a matter of one being just slightly better. JP one has better art and balance, NA/EU one has better creativity, but one thing is that I don't really like Kirby's coloring here. But NA/EU one is so unique and fun that it may be the better one

NA, I dislike the Japanese version. It's not my style.

I suggest Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows.

Mainly for the "Konami's best" box art.

No, it had a Quick Draw minigame.

Definitely JP for fitting closer to what the series is.

NA/EU has its own unique appeal, but that's all I can say about it.

It might not be a mechanic in game but it's something he's definitely capable of.

No, this is the game that introduced copy abilities. Dream Land is the one without copy abilities
