At least in stores I worked in, there isn't a single thing that you don't have to be involved in. Everyone has to do everything. I remember before I left, my boss was saying "maybe instead of the cleaner coming in a few times a week we should just clean everything ourselves". We already had to clean up the customer's toilet emergencies, but cleaning their toilet regularities too??

Yeah pretty much everyone who's worked in retail and food service sucks can tell you it's terrible.

Would you say it's objectively easier and less stressful than working retail?

There's less of that if you work in a large department store, but still some. But yeah if you work in a small store you're going to have to do a little of everything.

Without a doubt. I have to use skills that I got from my university degree, so easy and comfortable for me might not be for someone else. But I don't think I've had a single work day as stressful as the average retail day.

All depends on the environment though. I have good coworkers and a really good boss.

Retail is a scam job, try to be a vendor instead. More pay while you dick around and do nothing.
