(Yes I know that some of the original users could currently be 38-39 if they joined early enough but let's not overcomplicate the poll options)

splitting by joining pre and post going public feels pretty late to me considering that's a solid 7 years or so but maybe that's just me (my fb account isn't as old as my gamefaqs one but only by a year, and i'm not even 30 yet)

for me, i guess the core generation is probably like, my one lol mostly since everyone i knew irl was on there at the time and many were deeply ingrained as admins on various pages and communities and planning events all the time. i feel like that's not really a broader generation thing and just like, clique behaviour tho lol

It was 2 years.

Interesting results. For me it's Gen Xers, then boomers, and definitely not millennials. But I'm a few years younger than the average B8er, so I wonder if there's a bias (unconscious or not) against picking your own age group because none of us want to be associated with that shit.

It was huge when I was in college, but it's now the site I go to connect with boomer friends and family

At one point it was solidly the second option, but now unquestionably the third. I don't think "youth" or even "middle-aged" anymore when I think of Facebook, it's exclusively the domain of unsavory Boomers in my mind.

Well yeah, that's why they're both poll options. I guess it's kind of a question of "do you associate the site more with its peak or now?"

I gotta admit my first impression was old people who are addicted to it now. But the closest answer is probably the first generation who used it, Zuck's own pretty much.

Uhhh Facebook was peak popular around 2007-2010 but was still decently popular till the late 2010s. Late 20s kids would have grown up with it-- 13 year old would be right when it was at peak. Would have been that thing they wanted to join as kids and then joined as teens and got a few good years out of it then stuck around being addicted to it.
