I don't know if it's my favorite favorite but the first one that instantly jumps to mind is Mass Effect 2/3 MP. I'm just sad that I jumped into 2 MP late in its life cycle.

I'm sure there's still a healthy multiplayer community on the PC servers. I doubt Mass Effect multiplayer is completely dead, as it was pretty fun to play. Although, I wish PS3 Mass Effect 3 multiplayer servers was still up, as I still have my PS3 and ME Trilogy around somewhere.

TLoU Factions was ok-ish but the fucking smoke bomb/shiv combo was moronic and never got nerfed, and several of the trophies were bullshit. Eg:

Complete a match on Wharf without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Capitol without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions

In my experience nobody votes for Downtown, I do cause theres a lot of nooks and crannies, not a fan of everyone just going in guns blazing and everyone has a burst rifle, its not COD

I played single player GoW a couple times eons ago on a friends XBox but not enough to remember, got the PS5 version pre ordered, so basically going in blind

Best memories: Probably Left 4 Dead 2
Favorite world and lore: The Secret World
Favorite competitive: idk one of the Battlefield games. I loved Vietnam for the soundtrack but didn't get to play a lot in its heyday.

Honorable Mention: GTA Online, I was completely blown away by the level of depth to it and the ever expanding amount of content from free updates. It doesn't claim #1 spot though because the hacking problem ruined it for me

If were talking about my favourite to play now, Smash Bros Ultimate.

Definitely Downtown with the crumbling buildings, Bus Depot had the buses and taxis around and that second brick covered level below

If OSRS continues to take hold of my free time it might become my GOAT game as it took up a large portion of my childhood into early adulthood, and is now making a STRONG comeback lmao

Gears of War 1

Battlefield Bad Company. The maps, the classes, the destruction, the humor. Everything about it was so eye opening to me. I hate how much BC2 ruined most of it and was so popular that it became the foundation for the whole franchise moving forward.

Is there some way to go back and play those games online? Would love to experience it again.

If we can count mods: Morrowind multiplayer mod is unreal, btw.

depending on the platform, maybe a modded console

its a similar process on how people get games like Metal Gear Online or any psp/ps2 game to have multiplayer if I recall.

Nerf Wars was always cool back in the day. Or goldeneye. My internet sucks, so I dont play online much.

This is a tough question. Online multiplayer, I might give the edge to TF2, it was a really special experience for a number of years. Couch multiplayer going to have to say Smash Bros. The original for me.

OldSchool RuneScape for MMOs, and though my interest has faded id say For Honor was my favorite non MMO multiplayer.
