Space Station 13 is my current hyperfocus. But ME3's horde was up there at some point. Battlefield 1 only because I found a cool server with decent people playing & running it.

I do love Halo 3 but mostly played it singleplayer. Reach was really cool with the upgraded Forge mode, which you could even use with multiple people building at once

I think either Battlefield 1942. Or the pc game Aliens vs Predator 2. Both were shooters that I spent countless hours playing back in the early 2000s.

I'm not sure which one I would pick over the other. But maybe Avp2. It was prettyfun back in the day. 2 of my favorite modes in that was an extraction or evacuation mode. Where a team of marines try to reach an evac site while aliens try to stop them. I guess it was kinda like a prototype for Left 4 Dead maybe. Running through a level to an escape spot

The other mode I liked, everyone except 1 person, starts as a marine. 1 single player is an alien. Each time a marine is killed, they respawn as an alien. Until the last marine dies, but they also are basically the winner cause they lasted the longest

I agree with a couple users. Mass Effect 3's co-op multiplayer was pretty fun to play.

I've enjoyed the NBA 2k series's 5 vs 5 in the past, but only when the matches didn't have any Internet connection problems, which it frequently did as the multiplayer servers were always poorly implemented with various problems that fucked up matches.

I loved Resident Evil Outbreak 1 & 2 in the past. Playing classic Resident Evil with others is surprisingly pretty fun. It's a shame there was only 2 games made, before Capcom dropped that series for dumber multiplayer games instead, that nobody has asked for. I would've liked at least a scenario creator, so that the modding community could create new scenarios to play on. Extending the games well beyond the 10 scenarios we got.

I liked Among Us. The crewwmates have to figure out whose the imposters amongst themselves and vote them out. The imposters have to kill nearly all the crewwmates to win. I keep coming back to it every now and then. Although finding good matches are getting increasingly harder to find these days, as there's way too many dumb kids on there not really playing the game the way you're supposed too.

Resident Evil 5, Left4Dead, Svencoop, Elden Ring, and Baldur's Gate 3 are also some fun co-op games that come to mind.

Very likely Ragnarok Online. For a non-MMO, I'm thinking Monster Hunter XX.

Always find myself going back to those two and kidnapping friends to join me.

I don't play multiplayer, but ME3's is probably the only one I've enjoyed.

Everquest 2. It was an MMO that I really enjoyed. Today it's dated but back then I didn't mind the insane number of hotbars needed. I was just having run sitting in a LAN cafe a buddy owned after hours with 5 other people running content as my Ratonga Assassin.

Rocket League. It's the only one I've found with anything resembling decent matchmaking.

TLoU Factions was ok-ish but the fucking smoke bomb/shiv combo was moronic and never got nerfed, and several of the trophies were bullshit. Eg:

Complete a match on Wharf without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Capitol without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Coal Mine without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Water Tower without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Bookstore without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Bus Depot without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Hometown without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions
Complete a match on Suburbs without dying and getting at least 3 downs or executions

The bolded one is the most bullshit of the bullshit because not only is the whole concept bullshit, you literally couldn't have gotten people to vote for Bus Depot if you put a gun to their heads.

I'm glad no one is saying Fortnite in this topic. I don't quite get the hype for that game, and why so many play it.

The games I had the absolute most fun playing multiplayer with other people would be Mario Kart Double Dash and Conker's Bad Fur Day (honorable mention to MK64, because that was the only video game my brother and I could ever get our dad to play with us).

Gotta be TERA! I tried out quite a few different MMORPGs in high school and college, but always came back to TERA. It's also the game I discovered myself through, so you could say I'm pretty sentimental about it~

I didn't play much multiplayer in my day, so my favorite comes from a list of: MapleStory, Tibia, Counter Strike 1.6, NetStorm, Subspace.

I probably put the most hours into MapleStory so that I guess.

I don't know if it's my favorite favorite but the first one that instantly jumps to mind is Mass Effect 2/3 MP. I'm just sad that I jumped into 2 MP late in its life cycle.

Some of best gaming memories were from Halo 3 custom games. The original MW2 was great too. That was back when CoD was still worth a damn
