A lot of the Ms. Rachel hate is absurd demands that she give equal time to the hostages whenever she talks about suffering in Gaza.

Honestly this should be the final nail in the coffin for anyone who thinks that republican pro israel war mongering is somehow in the right. Like, Ms Rachel is about as near as you get to Mr Rogers in this day and age, anyone who looks at her and sees a monster is fucking twisted.

Ms. Rachel such a sweetheart and it sucks that she's being dragged into this garbage. I'm glad my daughter enjoys her content and will watch time to time. I donated.

She's a content creator who does genuinely really good educational videos for toddlers. On her socials, she's been very pro-Palestine and critical of Israel.

Yeah I was so surprised last night to see a new video from her pop up on my YouTube feed. I only had time to watch a few minutes but I'm gonna finish it tonight.

Im glad to see a video like this pointing out the bs and how amazing Ms Rachel is.

One thing I learned.

The reason members of a government don't publicly use the word "genocide", is because speaking this word aloud in an official capacity constitutes responsibility to act against it.

The United Nations came to an agreement that in the event of genocide, the member states would do whatever they could to end or prevent it.

So once someone official says it is, they have to act on that.

So they just don't say it.

Even when it's happening before our very eyes.

So having now finished this huge video essay, I have to say it was very informative. Basically contextualized the whole palestine/hamas/anti-semitism thing in a way even my dumb ass can understand.

I highly recommend sharing and watching this for those of you who haven't already because it really does show how the current regime is exploiting jewish folk and a genocide in a foreign nation to make and keep a firm grip on the US.

I keep meaning to check out Lindsay's stuff. I liked her back in the Nostalgia Chick days and have seen snippets of her "new" stuff and liked it.

She made a comment that Raya the Last Dragon was done in the vein of Avatar the Last Airbender like many YA fantasy of the age. People decided this was racist because they were being bad faith jagoffs and attacked her

Finally got around to watching it.

Lindsay is an astounding essayist. The subtle humor to ease tensions throughout such a heavy subject matter, the juxtaposition of childrens' entertainers at odds with the violent, hateful politics of today, the likely hundreds of hours of research and revisions, and the filmography itself are at a masterclass level.

I mean they were all young back then. That site was, ostensibly, a place where creators trying to grow themselves could start. Of course it was kind of shit at that, as we found out.
