In Washington state

They show up and force the firefighters to stop fighting the fire for 3 hours. Until they verify if any of them are immigrants. Ultimately 2 firefighters got arrested by ICE before anyone was allowed to go back to putting out the fire

Shouldnt this be a crime? Interfering with emergency workers during an active incident. Im sure thats a crime. If a random person walked up to a firefighter and stopped them from fighting a fire Im sure that person would end up in prison.

It's blue state Washington. They probably thought "sweet, lib houses burning down" when likely its in a rural red voter area (like the Paradise fire in California. Remember when Trump stood in the smoldering remains of their town and neighbors and told them they should have raked the forests? The same forests on federal land that Trump was the one in charge of? Yeah, it's almost like there were signs.)

Next time they do this with firefighters (especially if its a burning building), the firefighters should just continue on with their jobs. If ICE wants to follow them into the fire and smoke, then let them.

The group they're catering to are a bunch of moronic fucks who think that anybody non-white is a dangerous criminal that needs to be removed by any means necessary. While ICE's approval amongst the general public sucks, their approval amongst Republicans likely remains incredibly high, which is depressing.

Basically, in a recent survey...while 49% of Americans have an unfavorable view of ICE and 40% of them have a favorable view of ICE, that is basically a partisan divide. 72% of Republicans surveyed had a favorable view of ICE, whereas 78% of Democrats had an *unfavorable* view of ICE. In essence, most of Mango Mussolini's supporters are wholly in support of what ICE is doing.

the obvious response to this would be to have firefighter union chiefs go to DC and publicly announce that until further notice they will not be responding to fires within DC and any other city that ICE has taken over. its the only way to protect their union members from dangerous confrontations with the trump gestapo after all.
