It was just a few days after a terrorist attack considered the UK's 9/11, and the cops were jumping at every shadow. They saw a guy running and freaked out. Turns out he was innocent but they didn't find that out until after they had shot him

Why cosplay as Hunk out of all of Resident Evil characters? He's only a minigame character, who first debuted in the original Resident Evil 2's minigame. He's never had a significance to the series's plot, and the main single player campaigns whatsoever.

I bet it's because he's a faceless character. Hidden under a mask, and dressed in a black, soldier's uniform. That young kid's think it looks so cool to wear at a Con event.

The fact the gun had a blaze orange tip is the only thing that makes this stupid. IDK what the law is in the UK but in the US that's a pretty universal signifier that the gun is just a toy.

If there's no conviction, it's catch and release. Depending on where you live in the US, it doesn't even show up on a background check.

Edit: I know this incident isn't in the US, just providing a local example for why arrests aren't as serious as people may believe them to be.

The thing about arrests not showing up on background checks isn't completely true.

They won't show up on standard checks, but they can be disclosed if they are relevant on the enhanced check that you need for certain jobs (like working with kids, or for the police or security services).

As somebody who works with kids and has been arrested, its never been an issue.

The bit that employers check is convictions. I have, only once, been asked about an arrest prior to starting, and it was something that was explained with one sentence.
