Id just assume someone does it privately if possible and that is a reasonable boundary to have. I think everyone understands that farting is a human function and their partner is going to fart, burp, and whatnot from time to time. I've had to help my late wife onto and off the toilet before. Went into the shower together and I had to clean her body for her because she couldn't. It's not glamorous, but that is a part of supporting those you love. Farts are NOTHING. If you read the topic its literally been said multiple times that the spirit of the discussion is people that habitually fart in front of their partners. Like lifting their leg to rip ass in front of each other, Dutch ovening, that type of scenario I am sure.
