Just got outta Chainsaw Man, fucking baller as expected.

Also just got back from Reze movie, I know I might be biased in general for Chainsaw Man > Demon Slayer but I thought that was actually more visually gorgeous than even Infinity Castle. Like the amount of different styles it did with the animation and all super well is stunning.

Just utterly unreal how incredible the action was, but the moment to moment was also gorgeous.

We're gonna start seeing every major shounen anime film getting a wide theatrical release aren't we?

Did any of the Dragonball movies get a wide release? I recall thinking it was a waste not to but maybe one did I forgot.

Not a fan of these manga doing seasonal adaptions then switch to movies. This is like the MCU doing movies then switch to a bunch of D+ shows. Guess I'll go ahead and just read the manga instead of waiting for all of it to get adapted.

I think the Dragon Ball Super movies did. At least I recall the Broly movie having a pretty big showing.

Oddly enough, the Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage movie was meant to be a limited showing for like a single weekend but it ended up getting expanded to a much wider release. I guess the demand was high enough for it.

My assumption before was that CSM Part 1 would finish off with one more cour of anime, but with how successfully the movie was and other movies like it, won't be surprised if plans change.

And I mean....it was a really good movie. I still can't believe how good the explosions were.

Maybe? Chainsaw Man won the weekend, but those aren't great numbers. It's just a bad time for movies in general.

Anime movies getting wider releases would be cool. So many of them were 1 night affairs in the past.

Wonder how Madoka finally will do

I drove 5 hours round trip across state lines to see Rebellion in theaters, and it was a poorly framed bluray projector with the subs partially cut off in a crappy theater with low AC. Still worth it.

The idea that I can see the new one 20 minutes away in Imax in a recliner is...unreal.

Though I did see Liz and the Bluebird at a dinner theater. That was rad. Still a 2 hour round trip.

It's great numbers for a movie which apparently cost like $4 million to make.

Watched the Boy and the Beast today. Pretty fun movie. Always fun seeing people yelling at each other and big ass fight scenes when they matter.

Shame his next movie is using the bad CG style.

Speaking of, watched Milky Subway. Now that's the good CG. Felt like a neat style of direction, and things were suitably kinetic. Whole series gave off the aura of The Breakfast Club in space, which is fun.

I actually think Scarlet has an interesting look.

But I have heard the movie itself is bad.

Kind of seems like each movie is worse than the last! Can't top TGWLTT.

oh I read it's gonna be 1 chapter per episode still

Which is still a slight improvement over the inconsistent chapter coverage it currently does but not probably what some people still want

With You, Our Love Will Make It Through is the first non-sequel show to stick for me this season. Good thing too, cause I needed this to be good. I've got high hopes after the first episode.

I watched The Girl From the Other Side. There was definitely something "off" about the pacing. I think another episode explaining what was going on would have helped. What it was was an interesting vibe from start to end. Kinda Magus Bride-esque, with a lot less going on.

Yona of the Dawn ending in December. Time to finally add it to the queue.

Glad I started catching up again!

I love that series.

Oh yeah, its very clear Yona was coming to an end.

I'm 10 or so chapters from being caught up and it is definitely the final arc.

It's definitely been too long, because S2 was way worse than any other season. That's the one they added a filler boy to be a new main character for some reason.

Yeah I was sure season 2 was way worse, couldn't remember for sure about S3.

Season 3 was better than Season 2. I checked and apparently I didn't watch Season 4 or the OVA after Season 4.
