....Putting a quest in the base game that requires you to go buy the Cyber Sleuth outfit DLC to complete....is pretty scummy!

I felt like I was gaslighting myself so I just checked the store for the first time since launch, and realized that when I quickly scrolled through it the first time I thought the Agumom outfit was the Cybersleuth one

I have achieved Mega

....I did not know....Digimon went above Mega now. If that was in CS I forgot lol.

They've been going above Mega ever since WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon fused into Omnimon.

Yeah but that was a fusion. I'm seeing some of those requirements, but also just a raw bunch of stat requirement ones as well.

Taking a gander at the tier lists while I'm in the sidequests hell endgame

Slightly disappointed that I stumbled into most of what are apparently the best digimon lol.

Though really I don't see how this giant fucking volcano island bird that can also turn into a hot lady was gonna be anything BUT at the top of the list.

I think by the time I finish I will hopefully still say I enjoyed myself.

But right now the game that most comes to mind to compare this to is Tales of Zestiria.

There's really no world when I can call this game good. In fact, if I'm looking at what a clunky, tedious mess it is by the end, it might be straight up bad! But I dunno....I enjoyed it, so whatever lol.

Cyber Sleuth was way better.

That is not the common sentiment about the game at all, lol. Overall impressions from players are very positive. It's got a 93% positive rating on Steam based on 3600 reviews. It's not perfect, but it's a very fun turn-based RPG.

I enjoyed my time a lot, it's just clearly suffering from setting up too many plots and not knowing what to do with them. About 70% of the game feels like they just had to rush out resolution to their plot points and ran out of time and money, which is why I compared it to Tales of Zestiria, which I stand buy. It even has the same type of super cool hype battle with rad music near the start of the final act that doesn't actually mean much and quickly gets forgotten. In general the game gets worse the farther in you get. Constantly reused areas, too.

This game is definitely better than Tales of Zestiria though, lol

Yea honestly story is a main reason for rpgs for me so if its unsatisfactory thats not great for me.

I'll wait till some other people in here chime in if they agree with that particular sentiment though

I'm not through the game yet but I've been very much enjoying myself with it.

I'm also the same amount through ZA Legends and can definitely say Digimon is more enjoyable.
