If ever. Just now I found out someone I knew from middle school died a few months ago. Not like we were friends, but its still pretty sad. Were still quite a ways away from when we should start dropping.

I only remember people I interacted with in a way that made an impression. Perhaps I just dont know many people in general. This one in particular I wasnt really looking up, but it came up when I was looking stuff up, so I tried to verify it was the same guy.

Never. I'm happy to never see any of them ever again.

I generally don't, but my twenty year high school reunion is coming up this month, so I've looked at a few profiles of people in the Facebook group while trying to decide if I actually want to go.

If I didn't keep touch over the decades, we weren't that close back then

Not a single time. I did have 3 close highschool friends and that we added one another back when facebook was still new'ish, but outside of them I have never actually typed in anyone's else's name to look them up. Hell I don't even remember most of the names of those I was cool with and would have to dig out my yearbook just to recall who is who.

My middle school was a madhouse and I definitely don't want to know what those people outside of my gameboy link cable nerd group have gotten into later in life.

This. Ive kept in touch with anyone I knew from school that I felt like was worth keeping in touch with. Have never bothered to look up or inquire about anyone else

Maybe I shouldn't tell this story, but the only time I really did that was after my divorce almost 9 years ago. I reached out to a bunch of old classmates out of loneliness/ desperation/ etc, and I ended having sex with one of them. It had been 21 years since I had seen or talked to her.

I haven't looked up classmates in 20 years

Some folks from college, none from before then.

Never, with one exception:

There was this one girl in middle school who got the lead role in every school play. She had a very expressive, sort of "over the top" style of acting, which the drama teacher loved (and was admittedly very fun to watch). She was always nice and seemed cool from the little bit that we interacted. On occasion I would wonder to myself if she ever pursued acting, because that was just the expectation if you were ever around her. I got her name from one of my middle school yearbooks, looked her up, and found that she did indeed act for a few years before transitioning into involving herself with the production side of things. I thought that that was cool.

Rarely but from all grades. Majority of my elementary school basically went to the same middle school. On high school I was zoned differently and met a lot of new people while they all went to 2 different high schools.

I've tried, but with no luck at all.

Never. I've never declined a Facebook request from someone I have actually known, but the extent of my usage is: rl friend sends Facebook video and I watch it. Occasionally I will scroll thr page after looking at a video, but I don't seek anyone out in particular.

If they show up on recommended friends or whatever, I'll give them a quick snoop. And sometimes if a memory comes crashing into my head, a few times a year.

I'd certainly like to be able to look up some people I went to middle school and high school with, but my searches don't come up with results from the 90's.

I dont do that anymore. Too much disappointment, lol. Some people peaked in high school and remain mentally in high school in their 30s, 40s and beyond.

Like out of curiosity I looked a few people up. One was my former crush, she went to prison for trying to hire her cousin to do a hit on her ex boyfriend (husband maybe?), one lady became a legal expert who works as a specialist at Harvard (that was our valedictorian), one guy went on to play professional basketball.

Never.

I haven't been in contact with anyone i went to school with for well over 15 years or so.

Only ever had a small social group and we all basically went our own directions after school finished.

Facebook suggested a 10 year anniversary for my year many, many years ago. I laughed and clicked ignore.

There was only ever one person i wanted to connect with back then and it never became something I hoped it would. Not something to dwell on though.

I remember classmates from Kindergarten.

I have never once done that

I wouldn't even know how to look them up, nor would I remember most of their full names.

There's a friend I had in elementary school I'm curious about but he has a ridiculously common name and he moved to another state partway into... middle school, I think.

Two or three people once every 7-10 years

Not in awhile because I wasn't in school often, and just don't remember people's names.

I looked up my old crush once and it seems hes decently successful good for him

Sometimes. I recently looked up a girl I was attracted to and found she was recently charged with having sexual contact with an underage boy (plus sending him nude photos). Guess I'm lucky I never married her.

the last time I opened Facebook like a year ago to change some log-in credentials (since I couldn't actually close mine at the time) I did briefly see one guy I knew (lived in Ohio) moved to California. that's it.

Almost never. I probably should. Lost contact with some good friends from elementary/middle school. A bit curious what they're up to as adults

Never. I lost all contact with anyone i knew back then years ago. And i moved out of state almost a decade ago. I don't really care what happened to them. They are in the past.

Very easily. I gave no desire to ever see them again, or look them up, but they are easy to remember.

Outside of my tightly-knit group of six friends from high school, I no longer really give a hoot about the rest of my class.

I never have. I have however, looked up one or two old friends I used to have. One of them became a Urologist.

Bump, I forgot about this topic. Still thinking about that classmate every so often.

I don't really remember many classmates from back then. It seems most fell on hard times, talk about weird subjects online that they probably shouldn't be posting about, or ended up in jail...

I pity most of them.

Not very often. I had to delete Facebook because someone hacked it and I didnt feel safe with a public platform having my full name and photo. This was during the height of outrage/cancel culture, so if someone had used my Facebook to spread hate speech, that could have really affected my life in a bad way.

Otherwise, I really dont need to depress myself by seeing people who were allowed to have their place in society.
