this isnt even true. I was friends with the fucking admiral, I also was cool with Mel/Mal or whatever that dudes name was. I also supported Trump in 2016 because while I knew a lot of his history, I was ready for a shakeup and do not like Hillary at all.

I've expressed tons of conservative views here over time and got into arguments sure but not jack shit.

When Trump actually started doing shit, and conservatives started diving into the racism and Christian fundamentalism head first you saw a shift. It wasnt because people werent left leaning, its because people started openly being racist and discriminating. Then Trump broke the 1st amendment, then Jan 6th happened.

Now were here. You can cry victim all you want but the truth is you support abhorrent views, and people who push those views forward. Youre criticized because its not a difference of opinion, its your side pushing to eliminate difference of opinion and youre all too fucking scared to admit it

Not taking a stance on if political violence is a good or bad thing here, I just have a question.

Isn't the whole point of the second amendment in favor of political violence? "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." James Madison's whole idea seems to be based around the idea that if your liberties and safety are in danger it is up to the people, who should have guns, to enact violence on those infringing upon them. "Thwart and oppose the general government" is mentioned on Britannica as a quote from Luther Martin on the 2nd amendment. I'd like some nuance here from good faith people on either side
