Set right after the civil war ended, like a year to a few years later. So in the 1860s probably . Wasn't that the height of the Wild West? The other 2 were set when the period was in decline.

RDR2 is my favorite game of all time that I think is a masterpiece and with a couple small changes would be perfection to me. I think it is the best world ever created.

First Redemption game was amazing and even though it was a totally different style game Red Dead Revolver was awesome too.

So absolutely I want a 3rd game. Like I'm a huge GTA fan and I'm salivating at the idea of GTA VI but I would trade it in a heartbeat for RDR3.

After the second one? No.

I doubt Ill ever touch a Rockstar game again at this point.

Pirates

Use the same idea of a camp (but it's on the boat) and crew of thieves. Use Guarma and create some surrounding area.

I really just want a new pirate game that makes me feel like a pirate and I think Rockstar could deliver with gusto.

What would be a good name for that game?

RDR2 was incredibly, painfully boring to me, so nah.

Considering RDR2 is one of my favorite games of the past decade, I would love a new Red Dead game.

Not sure what it would be story wise though. Would have to be another prequel if they stick with the Dutch gang. Though honestly, I would be fine with a brand new, original story. Set maybe in the 1870s or 1880s.

As much as I too enjoyed the red dead redemption 2 story, nah, I think we got as good as we are already going to get with the dutch van der linde gang.

It would feel too goofy to have another dutch's crew prequel on top of a prequel. *Its going to get to that point where people want to play as the crew when they were younger, more younger, teenagers, now kids, lmao.*

If we instead go back to the "red dead present" and have a game focused on jack, then it'd be whatever it is he was getting into when world war 1 was going down, and I'm assuming he became a writer later in life (assuming anyway because of the j. marston red dead book in grand theft auto 5) so it probably wasn't nothing too crazy on his part.

They could just have a red dead redemption 3 focus on an entirely new group of outlaws during the wild west era I guess. *This is what I would want if we did get a 3rd wild west game. Have them really go back and forth between america, canada, and mexico*

The main rockstar game I want is one fully all-in on GTA5's heist missions. (These were by far my favorite part about GTA5 in it's entirety). I don't need (or want. Goddamn is playing with randoms too derpy in GTA online heist set-ups and missions) for this to be some online play related thing.......just a single player game following a guy and his crew doing these kind of heists around the world. Like a lupin the 3rd sort of thing I guess.

Sure, on the stipulation they go in it with 100% effort.

We could see a younger Hosea. (Not as the main though, but he would be around is my point. Maybe the MC is related to Dutch somehow, which would explain why Hosea stuck by him.)

I mean, I'd be down for it. All the gang ever talked about throughout the story of RDR2 were the "glory days" of Dutch's gang, and how we were past them. So I'm sure there's a story to be told there. I would just want it to be done well, and not be shoehorned in.

I dunno Reclamation, Retribution, Renegade, Reckoning... there's a lot of words that start with Re.

I think Recollection could be fun (albeit maybe played out as far as naming). It could be a play on memory as well as reclaiming something (probably treasue). ...but also it would be a good name for a collection of the games in the series.

I think Resolution actually has a good mixture of meaning that would make for a good name. Though it runs the risk of being brought up repeatedly in the graphical meaning but I don't think that'd be too much a problem with Rockstar.

Give us a some Pinkerton agency to play as.

I own RDR2, I need to actually play it.

Whole thing's just a little overwhelming every time I consider it.

That would be cool to have one with a "Hateful 8" story segment. Like you are one that hitched a ride and have to travel with them in the snow.

I know basically nothing about the show but I've heard it's good so sure. I kinda wanna see it but it seems like one of those shows that has like no levity so I've never gotten around to it.

yea, but I think it should focus on Jack.

or maybe do a duo protagonist thing, and have Jack and Dutch's perspectives mirror each other; or do something where you see Jack train with Sadie and/or Charles before getting his revenge against Ross and then his life after that.

Yeah we had Dutch and his gang stories. I want something fresh. The voice actors are so talented that they could all be brought back for different characters.

If its more like the first game where everything isnt slower than fuck and hyper realistic to the point of tedium, sure.
