Congrats, TC. Are you able to maximize your contributions to your HSA and (Roth) IRA? It's a necessary evil just to keep up. I wish things were just cheap, but as wealth consolidation continues, I agree with the people saying that all assets will continue to disproportionately rise. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/san3711 ... My work retirement has really been jumping the last few years. Compound interest really is a beautiful thing over time. I have been at my job 27 years and like it felt like it barely moved the first decade. Now it moves up more in a year than it did in that first like 15 years. The last 5 years outside of 1 year actually being a loss for the year has been really really good. Every time I look at articles that say what the average person is at X age I'm always pretty far ahead of what they say and frankly would feel really crappy if I only had what many of those articles say. Like it is pretty low amounts in my opinion for the numbers they use for not only my age group but people older than me. It's crazy to me the amount of people I know who are hitting retirement right now with numbers so much lower and they still have a mortgage payment. I would not feel positive about that. I like where my numbers are for being 49 and the fact I have no debt and have a paid off house means I have so much disposable income each month for other investments even besides my work retirement. --- PSN ID: sled_dogs76 60" Pioneer Kuro Elite PRO151FD, Yamaha RX-V3900 A/V Receiver, Oppo DV983-H player. Sansoldier posted... Congrats, TC. Are you able to maximize your contributions to your HSA and (Roth) IRA? Ive been bad with my Ira contributions the last five years or so. I should have maxed it out earlier this year but I only bought 1k when the market tanked. --- Never forget where you came from. ... Copied to Clipboard!
